We have had a huge response to our HFM post and are going through all the emails next week when we open again on Wednesday. We are unable to respond to all of them, so if you do not hear from us by the end of next week, we have run out of vouchers in this batch. But don't worry, we get more vouchers regularly and will repost again when we do. Thank you for your patience!

Meanwhile, please visit us at communityspayneuterclinic.org for regular cat pricing ($120 males, $150 females, including vaccines), and online scheduling to get your cat in before the end of 2025.

Also, please use [email protected] for further correspondence about HFM vouchers. We have received all emails sent to the previously listed email address.

PLEASE FOSTER A LITTER

One of the best ways to promote the overpopulation of homeless cats is to offer your home up to a foster litter. Even just a few weeks of foster care can make a huge difference in preventing further unwanted litters.

We’d like to give a very BIG shoutout to 16 year old musher Tara Crossman of Topsham as she makes her journey to Alaska to compete in the Junior Iditarod on February 25! Tara is a Junior at Mount Ararat High School. She operates a kennel with 20 dogs, 13 of which are currently traveling with her to compete in the race, which lasts for 2 days and is 150 miles long. She has been mushing for 7 years here in Maine with her Alaskan Huskies, and has competed in many races, including the 30 mile Can-Am International Sled Dog Race in Fort Kent, and is the youngest person in the Maine Highlands sled dog club to win the Leonard Seppalla award.

Tara has worked here at the clinic as a vet tech assistant to earn money for the cost of food, medical care, and supplies for her dogs, as well as all of the equipment needed to participate in the race. We are very proud of her for going after her dream of competing in the race, despite the obstacles she’s faced along the way.
You can follow Tara’s journey and see her whole team of dogs on her kennel’s page Can Ya Catch Me Kennel and find information about the race on their website https://www.jriditarod.org
Donations to help support her trip can be made here: https://venmo.com/u/Andrea-Hoskins-16
