This is where Serrano led us on the Kiger HMA! It is unbelievable what these horses can do. They are all running across this plain that appears to be grass, but is actually lava stone and grass. Very rough terrain. These Kigers are incredible.

Today the film crew for " Mesteno" was privileged to interview Mr Bill Phillips, one amazing man who set out to save the Spanish line backed horses way before theywere called Kigers. He is one impressive source of information on the history of the Mustang.

Here is someting fun that will be going on during the evening Mustang Extravaganza show, part of the Kiger Expo and Mustang Extravaganza, September 10. Both of these clinicians/trainers have done some terrific work with Kigers and are a nice part of the young community of Kiger enthusiasts. It will be fun to watch these two compete. One calf out of 30 did not want to cross the creek... but Pinie got him to his mother on the other side, he led easy with the rope around his front shoulder, that's after Tony and I caught him by his two back feet as he was trying to get back thru the fence!
