This will be the last post from Goldie's account. We are heartbroken because we lost Goldie a few days ago. Her seizures came back suddenly and with a vengeance. We were told this would eventually happen but had hoped we might get more time with her.
There was no one like her, meowing up a storm every morning 5 mins before the alarm. She was there again whenever you come home, always there to greet you (or ask for a treat - it was never completely clear which).
Those of you who got to meet her know what a huge personality she was. Always an opinion on every subject and always insisting on being the center of attention!! At full volume.
Let's not forget her obsession with boxes! Never met a box she didn't want to climb into!!
We all loved her so much and it's so hard to say goodbye.

Please everyone, love your pets and give them a big hug for us.

I'm feeling a little better today, less disoriented than the last few days. I sure got my appetite back! Still have a ways to go. But I did the 5am wake up call for everyone - which was appreciated, naturally.

Health Update from Goldie's human: She started anti seizure medicine a week ago and it is having a positive effect so far but the side effects include her being very drugged, (slow to respond, aimlessly wandering about etc.). We hope that this is temporary until her previous medication can stop. We got her a little Hut but she just stood there half in until she was picked up. It's very scary for all of us.

Normally my posts are cute and cheeky but I've been really unwell and to the Vet several times now. I have been having seizures which is very scary for everybody. Hopefully some new medicine I'm taking will help.

I was taken today. To that place. They poked and prodded me. It was horrifying - I will spare you the details of my time in captivity. Strangely though, whatever they did to my ears seems to be helping my allergies.

This is Budgie McBudgeface. He was found outside on the ground. Lost. Poor thing. My offer to look after him wasn’t given the consideration it deserved but he’s gone to a better place. (Which isn’t my food bowl)
