Grew up with shelter dogs, married into a farming family. Worked with Greyhounds when there was a racing track near us and fell in love with the gentle graceful runners! But my true love will always be the "bully breed". Often misunderstood and feared these sweet loving balls of love have the biggest heart of them all. I saw Greta's picture on a local rescue page and instantly I knew she

was to be my girl. She had been abandoned in a high kill shelter in Roswell, New Mexico, pregnant and starving. She was "pulled" by a fabulous group (IresqRR) and fostered while she had her puppies. She became a part of our family a few months later and has been spoiled ever since! She loves being outside but being a boxer/pitbull mix, she doesn't have a lot of hair which inspired me to find her a dog coat. I found it difficult to find any large breed dog coats locally so I revised a Greyhound racing coat to fit my shorter, chunkier Greta. I started sewing coats and collars for local rescue groups and a group who provided coats and food for homeless pets. Pittycoats was soon born in hopes I could continue to expand my efforts in helping those pets in need! Every purchase helps in this effort and I am so grateful for your support!
