Our Story

Join us for a family friendly, pet friendly, run or walk 5K, Trails Fur Tails 5k on November 9 at McAllister Park (Pavilion 2) in San Antonio! Proceeds will benefit Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW) which provides support and veterinary funding for rescue groups in and around the San Antonio area.

At the event we will have a Pet Glamour Station, Puppucino Station, Pet Adoption Area, Photo Ops, Raffles, DJ, The Art of Donut booth, Magnolia Pancake Haus Truck, Raising Cane's booth, and Q&A with a Dog Trainer! REGISTRATION must be completed through the following link: https://www.athleteguild.com/running/san-antonio-tx/2019-trails-fur-tails-5k $30 before 10/25/19 $35 from 10/26/19 to 11/8/19 $40 on race day Registration includes an AAPAW 5K T-shirt, Doggy Bag and Pancakes from Magnolia Pancake Haus! In 2018, AAPAW provided funding for 315 spay/neuter procedures to both rescue groups and community residents. AAPAW also provided funding for 115 heartworm treatments. Heartworms are a prevalent (but both preventable and usually treatable) problem here in Texas.
