Genie in a Beetle For over 15years I have been growing my pet sitting business, strictly through word of mouth.

Buttercup is a 10-year-old 10 lbs. Shih Tzu poodle mix (Shi-Poo). She is partially blind, but otherwise very healthy.
She was found tied to a fence at a dog park one morning in September. She has adjusted very well to life with her foster family. Buttercup is a complete and total lap dog. If you're looking for a dog that will stay on your lap and enjoy spending time with you, this is the dog for you.

14 years ago I first laid eyes on these 2. I decided to “foster” this brother and sister never intending to keep BOTH! The little girl (Trixie) was so fragile only 1.5 pound. The vet said she probably wouldn’t make it. She defied the odds and now rules the pack. Deisel is absolutely dependent on her. They nuzzled their way right into our hearts. Marlee and I raised them together and I can’t imagine life without them. Happy birthday my little knuckleheads ❤️❤️❤️

How it all began

I have always had an “over the top” love for all animals. I also always drove a VW beetle. So in May of 2009 Genie in a Beetle was born. My pet sitting business grew rapidly, solely by word of mouth. I absolutely adore each and every client (their “people” are OK too) I have dabbled in other careers, yet I have never found anything nearly as satisfying. I believe in the saying “you gotta do what you love, and love what you do”
