- Always bring a collar, leash, and ID for any outing, including water adventures. Ensure your dog has up-to-date microchip or ID tag information, especially if off-leash.

- For added safety, invest in a dog life jacket, especially for boating or deep water. Choose a bright-colored jacket for visibility and check with your local pet store for options.

- A towel is essential to remove excess water, sand, and dirt after a day in the water. Also, bring bottled water to keep your dog hydrated, as natural water sources can be harmful.
