Two shelties went hiking down along the shoreline this afternoon to look at the big waves. They both were impressed with the salt air and cool sand between their paws.

Took advantage of a break in hurricane Hilary and walked down to the arroyo. From nothing to this in just a few hours. Awesome. Shelties agree!

We took advantage of the cooler weather and took Pilot and Clancy on a nice hike at Corriganville. Arrived at 6pm which is the perfect time of day, surface temps have cooled and the park is mostly shaded. Walked the loop trail and didn’t encounter another person. Pups and humans all enjoyed rhe evening out.

Almost 15 years old and enjoyed a lap around Corriganville just as much as she did when she was one. Perfect spring day to see the creek running, some poppies still left, and lots of new growth on the oak trees.

Two Shelties out for a hike. They are different in looks as they are in their personalities. Kenzie, the original Two Dogs Hiking border collie had to stay home this trip, but I’m sure she enjoyed the peace and quiet without the younger siblings. Everyone enjoyed the fall colours along this scenic drive up to the lake. Highly recommend if you are up this way around the 10th of October as that is when the colours peak. Cheers!

It was our Border Collies’ 14th birthday this past weekend and so we took her to her favorite hiking place, Corriganville Park. While it was as hot, there are plenty of shady trails so she was able to do the walk just fine. The car park stays shady most of the day which also helps dogs and humans alike. Afterwards we took Kenzie and Pilot to Lucky Dog Cafe on Tapo Street for pup cups, and brekkie burritos for their pet-parents.

Thursday evening hike with work mates and dog mates. Our 2 year old sheltie and 13 year old border collie love this hike, even if the hill at the end is hard at the end of a hike. Did 3 miles round trip and the only issue is the number of bikes; they don’t always signal as they come up on you.

What to do on a lazy Sunday? Hike Corriganville of course! Gorgeous weather, nice and easy track and plenty of friends on the way to say g’day to. It’s a dog perfect place, as well as their human companions.

After a hiatus of four months due to a knee injury, we hit Long Canyon trail with the work group. Perfect evening and our 13 year old border collie Kenzie hiked like a champ. Not as many wildflowers as in past years, but enough to make it pretty. Poppies were closed up for the evening but still lovely to see amoungst the green.

Two weeks rhe two dogs and two humans went back to the Upper Stagecoach Trail, located off Lilac Lane from Santa Susana Road. There are many different trails in this park so it makes for an interesting area to explore. Plus the views are amazing!

Pilot’s first time wearing hiking shoes, he did very well. He will need them for Mammoth this year, can’t have him tearing up his feet.
