Hey folks, great opportunity to get a great dog from a great guy. Posting this for Robert Taffet who has been somewhat of a mentor to me these past couple years in my dog venture. If you’re looking for a dog ready to go, don’t sleep on this.

“This is a tough one for me.
The past couple of years have been trying. I’ve had a few strokes, the last one about seven or eight weeks ago, which have had a significant negative impact on my balance and ability to do basic farm work, and I’ve been out of work as well. This has made it necessary for me to sell the farm. The contract was signed a little before the new year and we did another walk through last week, so it’s moving forward. I’m not happy, but there are no other options. The cattle were supposed to leave today, but weather interfered, so they’ll be going next week or whenever the weather allows. I have dogs, females ranging in age from ten months to some who need retirement homes, available to the right people and setting. They’re all fine with goats and people, most are also good with poultry. They’ll also be effective property guardians. I’m only asking for good homes/jobs. These are Kangal x Anatolian Shepherd crosses, aka Turkish Shepherds, from excellent working lines.
I’m limited in my ability to drive as a result of the health problems I’m dealing with. Located in southern New Jersey , near the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Please contact me via messenger if you might be interested.

Hey all, just getting around to organizing my waitlist for 2024 pups. The current Hypernova x Temüjin pups are all spoken for. I have two more litters planned for 2024. One of them will be a repeat of Hypernova x Temüjin. The other will be Juno and Temüjin. The next Hypernova x Temüjin litter already has a full waitlist, but I can always add folks on standby in case she has an absurd amount of puppies like her momma did (her mom had litters of 16, 15, 14). There are still a handful of spots open for the Juno x Temüjin litter, but I anticipate the list will be full fairly shortly, although again, Juno comes from lines that throw big litters (her sister/littermate just had 16) so I can keep folks on standby. I do also already have plans for litters for 2025 so can always roll folks over into those lists as well. If you’ve expressed interest in a pup from me, you might want to get in touch ASAP otherwise it’s gonna be a pretty long wait.

Week 2 of the Hypernova x Temüjin puppies. We had a few very rainy days that brought the animals inside the kennel. The puppies are still boring potatos but there is a lot going on in this video. The interactions between the various species with each other and with the dogs, to me, is just incredible. Sorry it’s such a long video but it’s a weeks worth of clips and everything I included I just couldn’t leave out. The last few minutes are of my ewe, Black Betty, giving birth to a baby ram, so naturally, his name is Ram Jam. She could have lambed him anywhere she wanted and I think it’s so amazing that the spot she chose was inside the kennel right next to Hypernova and the pups. You can feel the amount of trust and love that exists between these animals and I’m endlessly proud of my dogs. This might be my favorite video I’ve worked on so far. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

Hypernova gave birth to 8 healthy Temüjin puppies, 5 girls and 3 boys 😁 we also have some newborn kids and more on the way as well as some lambs to raise alongside these pups!

I am very stoked to announce, we had an ultrasound on Hypernova today and she is pregnant, so puppies sired by Temüjin are due December 29th! I am very fortunate with timing, and bred my sheep and goats so that they would give birth at roughly the same time that Hypernova would be having puppies if it worked out as anticipated, and I got lucky and hit the nail on the head! The first goat is due to kid roughly the same day the pups are born, with 2 ewes and 7 more does due to give birth over the span of the pup’s first 8 weeks, so this litter is going to get an incredible start with kids and lambs. The waitlist goes back almost two years, as the attempts to breed these two has not panned out for the previous 3 heats, so a couple have dropped off the list and am still waiting to hear back from a few more. Depending on how many she has, there may be some spots available, Hypernova’s mom had extremely large litters (although I also plan on keeping 2 or 3 for myself 😁). I will get a rough idea of puppy count a few days before pups are due but won’t know for sure until they’re born. If you are interested in a puppy from these two, get in touch, this is going be be a very special litter. I will likely be repeating this pairing again in 2024.

UPDATE: Home Pending. Thanks everyone for your interest in Windigo, there was a lot more interest in him than I anticipated 😅 I do still have 2 other LGDs available, I will post about them tomorrow.

This big boy is looking for work. Windigo is a 160 lb, 3.5 year old Central Asian Shepherd/Anatolian Shepherd/Karakachan. He is absolutely wonderful with sheep, goats, cats, children, pretty much everything except birds. He’s been through multiple lambing’s and kiddings and is the current guardian of my goat kid pen. His hips are rated OFA Good, but his knees aren’t in the best shape, although you’d never know it by watching him move. More videos of him will be provided in comments as well as the album titled Windigo. PM for more details. Located in southern Maryland.
