Facebook have been pulling down this image. Why? Because a few hours later these 2 beautiful dogs were brutally murdered by the Met on the street.

For what? A scuffle with another dog, whose owner got tangled up in their leads. The dog was not seriously hurt & the woman needed no medical attention; she did not want the police to be called.

The details & footage are deeply upsetting & a clear statement from the police. Neither dog was aggressive or dangerous; they were both bull breeds & their owner lives on the streets. Both dogs were on a lead.

This discriminative & disproportionate reaction, which was neither humane or considered, is a terrifying window into where the UK is headed. There is disgusting abuse of power all over the place, but this feels particularly barbaric & sets a chilling precedent - they knew they were being filmed, antagonised the dogs & tasered their owner so they were scared, confused & defensive. At no point were they aggressive.

The fact that Facebook is pulling down this image of these 2 gentle souls, rather than the horrific images & footage of them being killed says everything it needs to say.

Dogs on the streets worked with both dogs & owners, & have secured legal support.

PETA (Personas por un Trato Ético hacia los Animales) ha nombrado a 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3' como "la mejor película sobre derechos de animales del 2023".

La asociación expresó que la película ha logrado enviar un mensaje de concientización sobre el sufrimiento y maltrato al que han sido expuestos cientos de animales en experimentos. 🦝🦦
