Suspensory damage 0 - Rehab 1 👊💪🦄

After 4 weeks of box rest and 2 of those introducing 5mins of hand walking twice daily the vets said those magical words today... he’s sound!!

A great illustration of how a horse is knocked off balance by using the inside rein to turn/bend. The right is correct, as the horse is turning with both shoulders, the left horse has been knocked over his outside shoulder, and will fight for his balance beneath the rider by allowing his haunches to fall in.

Bullseye has been brought on slowly over the last year. He’s qualified first time out at BE90 for Badminton Grassroots Regional and was 2nd in his first Prelims at British Dressage with 69.5%.
He has an amazing temperament and is joy to have around and loves cuddles! He is happy to do any job, aims to please and doesn’t need riding everyday, a real point and go.
He lives in or out all year round and is good to shoe, clip, hack etc.
Fit and ready to go.

Not quite the day we expected! Took Bully to Stafford where he did a nice test for 35, 1 down SJ and what I will still class as a clear XC even if the fence judge didn’t.

We didn’t arrive at the corner where I wanted to but sometimes it doesn’t always go to plan! So we worked with what we had and Bully as ever tried his heart out, unfortunately the officials didn’t agree.

Bully my little star pony! Not jumped XC for 2months and he goes to Somerford for the PC/RC event and does a 32 dressage and a class double clear for 4th place in the 90!
Thank you to my amazing Mum helping in the heat and to Somerford for all the ground prep, and also to Jo Holding for last min help making a medical band!

An amazing day at Catton Park, Paddy did a nice test for 34 (really must practice cantering down the centre line to a halt🙈) 2 down SJ and a fantastic clear XC making it feel so easy in his second Novice, as ever so much to improve on but really couldn’t be happier with him 🦄

Yesterday we took Bully to Brand Hall for his second BE90 were he did a lovely test for 32.3 in a tightly marked section still leaving us in the top 10. Unfortunately I think the heat got to us leaving us both really tired and not quite with it in the SJ, resulting in a few poles down but he still tried his heart out as ever. Therefore we decided it best to withdraw from XC as there is always another day.
🙏now for some rain please!
