Our Story
Lindsay Odell (daughter of Dr. George & Nell Bertram DVM former owners of Solvang Veterinary Hospital) has 35+ years experience with horses, she's been riding since she was a toddler, starting out in Southern California at a Hunter Jumper barn, she had excellent trainers who started her from the ground up. From there she and her family moved North to a little town called Solvang California in Santa Barbara County, where her family began an Arabian breeding and training farm. Lindsay showed in several disciplines working with Top Trainers in the Horse Industry. She went on to win many awards and accomplishments at Shows and Regional Championships throughout Southern and Central Coast of California qualifying for US Nationals for several years in a row. In addition to the show training, Lindsay also uses Natural Horsemanship skills with her horses, her influences as a youth were Monty Roberts and Ray Hunt methods which inspired her to develop her own unique method with successful results. She began giving riding lessons and training at her parents Santa Ynez Valley farm (Sleepy Hollow Livestock Company) in her early teens and went on to become a professional horse trainer at the age of 18 working for many big farms throughout the Santa Ynez Valley Ca. In 1997 Lindsay married her husband Seth, who is a Firefighter and started a family with two beautiful children of whom both are also accomplishment riders and handlers of horses.
Jasmine Odell (daughter) has been riding since she was in the womb. She has gleaned much of her knowledge from Mom, Lindsay and had many lessons to become the successful horsewoman she is today. Jasmine started showing Welsh ponies when she was just a toddler and moved up to larger horses as she entered her teens. She enjoys learning and working with horses daily and with her homeschool schedule she is able to dedicate her mornings to her horse training and evenings to school. Jasmine is also an accomplished Artist and dedicates her free time to creating beautiful masterpieces.
