Happy 6 month old birthday to our 1st litter of beautiful babies. I can't believe it's been that long already. I miss all of you. Hugs and kisses. Violet, Regina George, and Blue say hi to their siblings. ❤️

Blue fractured 3 toes so she's been in a splint for the past 2 weeks. She's doing well as our little Peg Leg Pirate. Argh!! 4-6 more weeks of splinting to go.

During the solar eclipse, leave your pets indoors if possible! Not only could the sun damage their eyes, the abrupt change from light to dark can scare some animals. Many pets may react the same way as they would during a thunderstorm or fireworks display. Play if safe, and leave them inside if possible! 🐶🐱

OFA testing for both Liz and Keizer has all come back clean. Hips, elbows, patellas, eyes, heart, and thyroid.

We are good to go. Yay!! We are retiring Keizer from breeding May 29th. Not an easy decision to make as he produces some gorgeous pups. We just don't want to take the chance of him breeding the 3 girls we kept from their litter.

Violet took Best of Breed with Harold Young handling her for me and with me she took 3rd in Group for the 4-6 month old pups. She is a natural and loves the ring. She goes back in the ring tomorrow. Fingers crossed she takes home a few more ribbons.

Blue did very well. We had a mishap and the slip lead went over her head so she decided to go suck up to the judge. Lol. No ribbons for her today, but she did have a good time.

Rain, their brother and Tim Young pup, took Best of Breed Male. He did wonderful. It was so good to see him.

Thank you Harold Young for taking Violet so I could take Blue and thank your wife for taking pics for me.

Both girls loved the fluffy hotel bed with a zillion pillows. They wanted to camp out another night.

If you haven't done so yet, it's time for the pups to have their 1 year Rabies vaccination.

They should also be on their 4th DHPP vaccination (Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, and Parainfluenza) depending if they received their 3rd DHPP vaccination yet.

Bordetella vaccine should be given if:
Boarding this year
Going to puppy daycare or classes
Showing or competing in events
Visiting dog parks

If you live in an area with a high rate of Lyme's disease (comes from ticks), we recommend getting the Lyme's disease vaccination.

We are also coming up on flea/tick/mosquito season. If you treat your yards now, it will reduce the risk of coming in contact with these pests. Just remember to keep the pup out of the area for the recommended time per the treatment directions.

We'd love to see pics of the pups and how much they've grown. Please post a pic below if you can.

This big boy is Frederick. He's the 2nd biggest baby out of the litter and he's going to be a huge boy like his Daddy. He loves to play with all his littermates and his new sissy Charlotte. He is a very unique color. More of an apricot markings with the black. If you Google Fawn Giant Schnauzers, you will see what I mean. His coloring is like that with the black on his main body. There hasn't been any Fawn Giants for a long time. We would love to keep him, but we are already keeping 3 of his sisters and his new sissy Char. He is such a love bug and absolutely loves to watch TV and just chill as well. He is ready to go anytime.

Liz trying to hide her little cuties from her momma. She doesn't like when I take them to get weighed and start their early neurological stimulation (ENS) daily session. She loves her babies. She gets spoiled just like they do. After they are done, she gets her massage and extra cuddles in then we are off to bed. I'm still sleeping on the couch to check on them. I hear a cry and I'm jumpin'. I'm starting to think they've caught on. 😂🤣😅
