Whiskey Boy, it’s been a 3 months that you left us and there is not a day that Im not missing you! Every morning, When I come down I still say good morning and looking for your handsome face, and say goodnight before I go to bed every night!
When I first brought you here, I whispered to you ‘You gotta live forever, over the years when I would imagine life without you, I would say again to you, ‘You gotta live forever, ‘kay?
My body still wants to take you for a walk. Your leash still hangs here waiting for the words ‘wanna go for a walk?’ It’s been raining this week and I constantly look at the clock to see if it’s the time to take you out.
Go to the park and play ball in the rain.
Whenever I eat some chips at the shop, I look to see where you are so I can throw you some. Whenever your friends come by they all still looking for you and sniff all over to find you!
You were the perfect dog for me. A best friend that could anybody asked for! So quiet… so chill. You never peed or chewed on anything. You barked so infrequently that you would scare yourself when you did.
You were with me through all the good times and the bad. You never judged me, even when I doubted myself!
Even when you no longer eating or you weren’t so interested in your toys, and had to sleep more often, I loved you so much.
You trusted me right up to the end. You believed me when I told you that you didn’t have to live forever and it’s OK to go. Go to Yosemite, go to river, and swim as long as you want!
I felt the life leave your body and you took a piece of me with you, forever and always.
I love you baby boy, and I’ll see you at the bridge. Indeed out time was short.
