Our Story

Leeshas Handcrafted Soaps & Bath Products isn't your ordinary shopping place! We started with soaps and body products, we have now ventured into the handmade side of just about everything! From handmade bags/headbands/scrunchies and crochet/knitted blankets and other products!

When I say ‘we’, Leeshas is made up of myself, my 3 young daughters and Nan! While I do all the soap making, body products and the crochet items my daughters have learnt their way around the sewing machine with Nans help, and have become quite the little machinist! Nan over sees all the sewing projects, she is also the one who finds a majority of things for the girls to make and will teach them how to make the product. Nan still does a bit knitting for us but is also teaching my girls this craft too. They seem to do much better on the sewing machines!

As my daughters have limited time to create (usually full steam ahead on the machines in the school holidays) they have come together and sourced an arrange of fashion jewellery to add to their market tables. My girls are all teens/tweens so what they source you can be sure is on trend with the teenagers of today!

Leeshas soaps and body products have undergone a massive change in the past year. When I started on the soap making path over 5 years ago palm oil was the most dominant oil to use in soap recipes. Fast forward to 2018 and I can proudly say that I have reformulated every single one of my recipes that used palm oil (only a very small handful of recipes) and now we do NOT use palm oil in anyway to produce our soaps or other products. We have also made many of our recipes to be vegan friendly too.
