Panda Phone Dump

I'm not really updating this page anymore.
I haven't really had the heart to keep up with it since Raz died. I tried changing the name of it, but Facebook wouldn't let me, so I'm not quite sure what to do with it.
I don't want to delete it as there's a lot of memories here, but as far as I know I can't archive it, so I'll probably just leave it as is for now. Who knows, I may feel inspired to revive it in the future.

Panda has started petting/ hitting me in the head when she wants attention. She used to only do this when she tries to wake me up in the morning, but I guess I'm not being attentive enough.

I am SO PROUD of our little bear. She was such a good adventure cat.
She was fine during the drives, just crawled into her carrier and chilled there. When it was time to leave, she sat in the van, waited for us to say our goodbyes, and then crawled back in her carrier once the van started moving.
During the weekend, she went from only wanting to stay around the house, to lounging in sunny spots e would bring her to, to wanting to explore the whole area. She would let me know when she wanted to go outside and when she was done, and was very patient with us while we figured out sphynx life on the road.
We have Raz's ashes with us as well and set them up in the sunny spot on the windowsill so they could lounge together. My heart breaks that he's not around to adventure with us, because he craved the outdoors so badly, but I'm glad panda is enjoying herself.

And so begins Panda's first big adventure!
She's a remarkably adaptable cat. Even when she's nervous about a new situation, she does her best to figure it out. She was SO good today with a 2 hour car ride and then hiking up to the "cabin" we're staying in (it's a big ass house with an in-ground pool!), getting to know the surrounding area and her temporary home. At one point she finally got a little stressed from all the rapid changes of space, but after a rest in her carrier (It's a safe space for her) and some quality time, she was ready to explore again!
She's not quite as well- trained on the leash as Raz was, so exploring outside involves a lot of patience on my part, but I think she'll get there quickly with a bit of dedicated time.
