Mainland social media has been delighted by a canine-friendly event in Shanghai which saw dozens of dog owners take their pets to watch a Chinese remake of a famous Japanese movie about animal loyalty.

After being rescued from slaughter in Mudanjian, China in 2014, with the help of Duo Duo Project, The Tangshan Animal Protection Association, 4 Greyhound Racers, and many generous donors, Hui Hui was brought to the U.S. to be rehabbed and homed through 4 Greyhound Racers' adoption program. Yu Hang was Hui Hui's foster dad in China after she was rescued from the dog meat trade. Recently he was able to visit her for the first time in a few years since she arrived in the States. Here are some highlights of his first visit with Hui Hui in years!
