Home Away from Home - In Home Dog Boarding "The best alternative to traditional boarding facilities" Well, look no further! We have 2 resident Weimaraners named Jaeger (11yrs) & Charlie (5yrs).
(11)

Looking for somewhere for your beloved pup to stay while you’re away without spending the steep rates that dog boarding facilities charge? My name is Stephanie and my husband, Ryan, and I have a lovely home in Savage we’ve opened up to our furry friends in need of a place to stay. Our decision to begin boarding started with our love for dogs and the 15+ years of experience we have with them. Our s

enior gal, Lady, passed away at 11.5yrs young in 2017. She was a huge part of what we do and we miss her dearly. Those who are familiar with the Weimaraner breed know they can be challenging to own due to their high energy, separation anxiety and stubbornness. We have learned a lot raising these pups in regards to positive reinforcement training and patience! They are the loves of our lives and the reason we began fostering for a local rescue working with puppies and adult dogs. We have successfully trained and re-homed many dogs to loving families during our time as foster parents. Many of our adopters board with us on a regular basis and it’s so good to see our previous fosters bloom into amazing family dogs. We are available all year round for boarding with drop offs as early as 7:30am and as late as 5pm (pick up cut off at 7pm). You only need to provide food, leash and any medications they are on. We have crates, food bowls, dog beds, blankets, toys…you name it! All food bowls, bedding and crates get sanitized between dogs boarded. We ask that your pup is crate trained, is up to date on vaccinations & social with other dogs as they will be integrated into our “pack” when they come to stay with us. We are not accepting any Bully or Bully X breeds at this time. Please respect this decision as this is nothing against these breeds. We also do not board dominant dogs as it makes my male (Jaeger) nervous and uncomfortable and I do not wish to make him feel out of place in his own home, especially now that he is in his golden years. For new clients, we request a quick meet & greet with you and your pup at our home so you can feel comfortable with the place they will be staying and so we can get to know you and your family member a bit more! Your pup will have a blast running around our ½ acre, fenced, yard, playing with toys, socializing with the other dogs, or snoozing away on the couch. During our meet and greet with you, we will go over their normal daily routine and try to stick as close to it as we can. We believe that providing a predictable schedule for your pup will help them feel comfortable at home with us. Please feel free to reach out to us with additional questions! Rates (per dog):

Boarding - $40/night
Holidays - $45/night

Puppy Rate (up to 1yr) $45/night ($50/night over holidays)

Daycare - $25/day

**$20, per dog, will be added to the total for pick ups after 12pm on the day of checkout

Rain, snow or shine...the pups always enjoy playtime! They seem to be happiest when they are as dirty as possible. 😅😬

***ATTENTION FELLOW HUNTERS***

It's that time of year!!! If you have any left over deer or bird carcasses or any trimmings from your adventures, please PM me!! I will gladly take them off your hands.

If you are trying to make room in your freezer for your fresh meat, I will also gladly take any older meat that has been sitting in your deep freezer that you need to get rid of (up to 5 yrs old). I do not take bear meat, ham or anything smoked or seasoned.

I feed my pups a raw meat diet (about 6-7lbs per day between the 3 of them!) and they always look forward to hunting season when we can get proteins in their rotation they don't eat on a regular basis.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us out in previous years!

I'm located in Savage, MN

Thanks♡

Bessie is here for her first stay! She is a 12yr old Rat Terrier who is a very mellow gal that enjoys hanging with her people. The pack has been great so far recognizing that she's an older gal that just wants to hang out and do her own thing. Welcome to the pack, Bessie!

Cheers to the weekend!

Rosie is here for her first stay! She is a 7month old mini Aussie who's owner is an existing client of ours. Rosie is more on the reserved/shy side so this will be good for her to get around the pack to build some confidence. Welcome to the pack, Rosie!

Our Story

From $30/night! (Holiday and Puppy rates apply...see below) Looking for somewhere for your beloved pup to stay while you’re away without spending the steep rates that dog boarding facilities charge? Well, look no further! My name is Stephanie and my husband, Ryan, and I have a lovely home in Savage, MN we’ve opened up to our furry friends in need of a place to stay while their families are away. Our decision to begin boarding started with our love for dogs and the 15+ years of experience we have with them. We have 2 resident Weimaraners named Jaeger (7yrs) & Charlie (2yrs). Our senior Weimaraner, Lady (11.5yrs) passed away August 2017 and we miss her dearly. Those who are familiar with the breed know they can be challenging to own due to their high energy, separation anxiety and stubbornness. We have learned a lot raising weimaraners in regards to positive reinforcement training and patience! They are the loves of our lives and the reason we began fostering for a local rescue working with puppies and adult dogs. We have successfully trained and re-homed over 25 dogs to loving families. Many of our adopters board with us on a regular basis and it’s so good to see our previous fosters bloom into amazing family dogs.

We have been professionally boarding dogs in our home for almost 3 years now and have a large client base of just over 200 customers with most of them being regulars! Needless to say, we book up fast and I try my best to reflect that on our availability calendar. We love our customers and all the pups that come through.

Your pup will have a blast running around our ½ acre, fenced, yard, playing with toys, socializing with the other dogs, sunbathing on the deck or snoozing away on the couch. For bedtime, we try to stick to what they are use to at home whether it be a dog bed, our room, separate room, floor, or crate. During our meet and greet with you, we will go over their normal daily routine and try to stick as close to it as we can. We believe that providing a predictable schedule for your pup will help them feel comfortable at home with us.

We are available all year round for boarding with drop offs as early as 7am and as late as 6pm (8am is the earliest drop off on the weekends-out of respect to our neighbors). Pick ups are no later than 7pm. When you book with us, we will arrange a time that works for everyone’s schedules.
