OUR HISTORY

Balanced Bite got started on a whim – our two founders, a scientist and a dog trainer two unlikely friends, that have a unique passion for all things dog and health! Being raw feeders of many years, they soon they had a grave need to provide an easy way to transition their newly acquired dog to raw, who was soon expecting puppies. Realizing the realities of preparing a raw balanced d

iet and the amount of time and attention a new litter of puppies deserves they searched endlessly for an easy no-thought balanced raw diet program. Unfortunately, their search for a program remained futile and as the due date of the litter loomed they decided to halt other commitments and create their own program following the Whole Prey Model raw diet. Harping on each of their strengths, they created multiple balanced blends and a thorough plan which required little effort, after prep, to feed each of their dogs. After seeing the new mother thrive on the raw food, they decided to send some out to their friends for a trial with their own dogs – it was a success! Raw food made easy!
