We (Ben, Ken and Roger) were having a chat about some of the customer feedback we’ve so far received regarding Prairie Blend (Canola H**p Bedding) and Roger who has been using it for his cows had these words about it:
"As a livestock owner, especially in the winter, I'm always looking for bedding that provides insulation, lasts a long time, and keeps my animals warm and comfortable. Two weeks ago, I put down two bags of the canola-h**p bedding blend in my cow barn, and I have to say, it’s the best I’ve ever used!
Even now, some of the bedding is still dry. Nothing else I’ve tried—whether it’s shavings or other products—lasts this long. And here’s the real game-changer: when I use a stall rake to clean, the heavy canola fibers fall right through the rake, leaving just the manure behind. I’ve never had a bedding material that works so efficiently. It’s like the bedding stays in place while the waste comes out.
The small percentage of pelletized h**p in the blend adds even more absorption, making this bedding incredibly effective. It’s warm, dry, and has amazing longevity. Honestly, I’d put it on par with wood pellets, which I used to think were unbeatable. My cows know where the warmest spot is, and they always choose to rest on it.
I highly recommend this stuff not just for cows but also for horses as well.
