Are you a small business owner? We need you! We're looking for vendors to be a part of our 2nd annual open house happening Saturday, September 28th from 12pm-3pm (more details to come).

There is no fee to be a part of this event, but we do ask that you bring your own tent/table/chairs as we are unable to accommodate needing these. We also ask that vendors specialize or offer items that are relevant to animals as we'd like to keep this event on theme. Please call us for more details, or email Alyssa at the address below. 😄✨

Let us know how we may be able to help

The capacity crisis in animal shelters across the country has been a serious issue this year, and sadly it does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. We wanted to share this with you to help highlight a real struggle that we are facing here at CPASC with our own capacity.

Per our inspections done by the Department of Agriculture, we are able to accomodate no more than 155 cats onsite at any single time. At the moment, we have 152 cats inhabiting our shelter. This means that we have the ability to take in 3 more cats before we have to make determinations regarding euthanasia because we are truly at our capacity for what we can house.

When you see posts regarding being full, at critical numbers or at-capacity, it's due to the ratio of animal caretakers to the animals, or maybe it's due to the number of animals that can safely be in the kennels; sometimes, though, it's due to the legality behind simply not being allowed to house any more animals.

We don't share this to bring sadness to your day or to victimize ourselves, but we share this with you in order to advocate for our animals. We need adopters, fosters, rescues, animal welfare advocates to help us bring our numbers down. We can't save lives without our community. We promise to continue to be transparent about the struggles we face everyday and to do our best to help those that need us. 🐾

To my human moms & dads, this is what happens to my paws when you take me out in the scorching sun ☀️ when the pavement is so hot !

Remember I sweat through my paws, so in this heat I can’t get rid of my sweat as my paws are burning. Missing my walk won’t harm me. Please let me just relax indoors and take me out when the sun is down🐾

If you see someone walking their dog on hot pavement, ask them to take off their shoes for the remainder of their walk home. Maybe then they'll understand.
