🐾 RESCUE ALERT 🐾

Rescues all over are facing a crisis - fosters are full, animals are sick, and return rates are skyrocketing. Homeless animals are everywhere, with puppies starving and sick, and some even dying. It's a grim situation, but we can all make a difference.

When a rescue says no, it's not because they want to, it's because they have to. Their volunteers are tired, their fosters have already taken in one too many or lost one too many to take in more. We need to come together as a community to help these animals in need.

Share posts, like posts, and educate others about overpopulation. Start conversations with neighbors who have litters of puppies or kittens to spay or neuter. Volunteer, foster, donate - anything helps, even a simple like.

We've made this video of all our adoptable animals, but remember, these are just the ones currently available. There are almost 100 rabbits, dogs, or cats waiting for their forever homes. There are still animals in quarantine or too young to list. Tomorrow, we may get another 50 requests and will be lucky to say yes to just one. Let's work together to save these precious lives. 🐶🐱💕

🚨 URGENT 911 POST 🚨

Sweet Hera was at Conroe Animal Shelter, ready for adoption, when she surprised everyone by delivering 6 puppies in her adoption kennel! We were able to get them out, but the pups were cold. They are now in a foster home, but Hera is skinny and struggling to care for her babies. At only 10 months old, motherhood is proving to be a challenge for her.

We are in desperate need of donations and supplies to help Hera and her puppies. She needs puppy food to regain her strength, and we may need to assist with feeding the little ones. Any help is greatly appreciated - whether it's donating, sending supplies, or spreading the word. Let's rally together to give Hera and her pups the care they need. Thank you for your support! 🐾💕

Great news everyone! 🎉 Boop and Buttons, who were originally adopted in October 2022 and returned in April 2023, are finally on their way to their forever home in Seattle! 🏡💕 These lovely girls have been patiently waiting for their perfect match, and it's finally happened. UPDATE:

We're overjoyed 🎉 to share some encouraging news 📰 about our dear Concord 🐶! He hasn't had any more seizures 🙌, which has been a tremendous relief for all of us. The test results 📑 have come back, and the only issue identified so far is canine influenza 😷. While it's not the best news, it's certainly less alarming than what we initially feared 😓. We're all incredibly relieved 😊 that Concord seems to be on the mend. However, we're still awaiting the results of a couple more tests 🧪. We appreciate all your support 💕 and well wishes during this time. We remain hopeful 🌈 about his recovery and will continue to keep you updated on his progress.

🚨 URGENT HELP NEEDED 🚨

Our sweet little Concord is experiencing life threatening seizures.

On Friday night, he had to be suddenly rushed to the emergency vet when he had a seizure for the first time. He had a second seizure shortly after arriving at the ER, and a third seizure around midnight. At 8am on Saturday morning, it looked like Concord might have turned a corner, and was ready to be discharged. But when his foster mom arrived to take him home, he had his 4th seizure in her arms in the waiting room.

So at 10am on Saturday, he had to be re-admitted to control this completely unexpected seizure activity.

His first 12 hours at the ER cost over $3,200 and his second 12 hours were estimated to be $1,100. As of 6pm tonight, Concord has not had a seizure since the 10am episode, so his doctors are going to try again to discharge him, and hope this is his last ER visit for the weekend.

🐾 Meet Eddie! 🐾

We are thrilled to introduce you to Eddie, a charming husky/shepherd mix with a distinctive "widow's peak" marking on his face, reminiscent of Eddie Munster. His unique look is just one of the many things that make him special.

Eddie hails from a large family of 9 puppies, born to a pure white husky mother. He and his blonde siblings were discovered by a kind-hearted individual who already had a full house with 9 dogs of their own. Recognizing the need for help, Operation Pets Alive stepped in to provide care and support.

Eddie's journey hasn't been without its challenges. As a puppy, he battled and overcame parvo, a testament to his resilience. He spent his early life in a rural area, growing up alongside a large pack under the watchful eyes of his foster family.

Now at 1 year and 4 months old, Eddie is considered a "long term" dog. His shy nature has made it difficult for him to attend adoption events and find a permanent family. But we believe that every cloud has a silver lining. Eddie has recently moved to a boarding situation where he will have the opportunity to interact with more people and hopefully, overcome his shyness. We're optimistic that this change will help him find the loving home he deserves.
