Oh boy did we have fun!!!

Today was a big day. So many emotions and feelings.
I bought a new car. ❤️
I said goodbye to my accord that got me from A to B for 15 years. Lots of memories made in that car.
I am so excited and happy with my new vehicle. It’s super pretty, and reliable and such a peace of mind knowing Alexis and I are now safe on the highway.
A huge thank you to Devon Lapointe. He made the whole experience so easy and I am so grateful for his kindness and understanding of my situation. If anyone is looking to sell or buy a car Devon is the one to call.
This was my first big decision without Ryan and I think he would be really proud.

This afternoon while resting peacefully in my arms our sweet Ryan took his last breath. He is reunited with those who we love from afar. We love you Rye and will see you again. ❤️✨

Update time

Here we are In Winkler,MB for a MRI for Ryan. Crazy how much of MB we have seen since this journey has started. But you go where the machines are available.
I have been waiting for some good news to post an update, And we got it!! Ryans bloodwork is finally back to normal levels and so that means the treatments are working and this Dermatomyositis is potentially in remission. DM is no longer attacking and destroying his muscles. This put a smile on Ryans face and is some positive news Also the oncologist is confident with the surgery and that he got all the cancer and we are waiting for the team to tell us what the best form of treatment will be.
We have had a little bad luck the last few weeks. We were put on the Urgent list for an X-ray swallow test and we were so excited to get an appt but that machine broke down so back on the urgent waiting list. There are only 2 machines in MB. One in portage la prairie where we were scheduled and one in Brandon. The wait list is very very long. This is the test Ryan needs!!! This will help us know what is going on with his swallowing and what is working and not working and how we can move forward. -we are still on purée only diet.
we also had a different MRI booked but that was also postponed cause that machine broke down as well. What is going on with these machines. Over worked, not enough time for maintenance?
And last bit of bad luck is ryans incision opened. And there was infection. So now it has to be an open wound heal and a twice daily dressing packing and bandage change. I was trained on how to care for the incision and I am proud to say I have changed it 4 times but I will be happy when a certified nurse looks at it later today and get feedback. I pray I have done it correctly. It’s definitely something I didn’t think I could or would ever do. It’s amazing what we are able to do. I would do anything for Ryan to make him feel better.

Without getting into details, my Ryan is sick. It’s cancer, we have a great team of doctors working to get him well.

Fur Baby Biscuits is closed until Ryan is back on his feet.

This is a journey we did not see coming. Love your people. ~ every day
