We attended an event near us this last weekend to represent the Dogo Argentino, and many people were fascinated at how well behaved they were. Thank you to the Windsor All Breed and Tracking Club for allowing us to attend this event. We educated people on the dogo and that they aren’t just for everyone and that they aren’t related to the pitbull. Do your research and find a legit and good breeder. Will post other photos in the comments.

This guy and his littermates are almost one year old! It has been an interesting journey having another boy in the house, but here he is. Valkyries poseidon “Clutch” and his mother Valkyries Nebula Supernova “Nova”. He was giving his mom a lot of sass and she thought he deserved some much needed wrestling. (All dog interactions are supervised)

This little (80ish lb) boy is turning out to be quite a good puppo. Valkyries Poseidon “Clutch” and he just turned 9 months old. He saw his first deer two days ago and was like a wild banshee on the end of the leash for a minute, he’s growing and learning everyday. I must say he is 10% like his grandmother and 90% like his mother. (Minus what he gets from his dad) Valkyries Nebula Supernova “Nova” x Moicano Dos Makus (sire owned by Tiago Marques)

Valkyries Phoenix is still looking for his forever place in this world. He’s gaining confidence and is eager to please. House and crate trained, walks well on a leash. Friendly with people, kids (respectful humans in general) and other dogs. He is now 7 months and all the hard works already been done. Very food motivated and can easily be shaped with a soft hand and food motivation. He is not a show prospect and no breeding rights. 1 8 0 0 💵 🇨🇦 he is not a rescue dog. He is from a responsible breeder.

This is so terrible and sad. Life in general isn’t easy. Life in rescue is even harder. (We do this with a local wildlife center. Just like with any other animals. Baby’s take up so much of your time).

Please check on your strong friends and be nice to each other. No matter the issues or situations everyones life matters.

Rest peacefully beautiful

The rescue world is grieving right now. Thursday evening (April 6th) an incredible soul took her own life. Rest In Peace Ashley you meant so much to so many lives. 🐾

To the people who think rescue work is so amazing. It is but it takes such a huge toll. We deal with and see some of the nastiest things in this world. We handle such innocent lives that have been let down, hurt, or worse by people. Things you wouldn’t ever think exist. It’s hard but we deal with it. Pushing ourselves to do more.

We’re constantly under pressure. Being scrutinized for every decision we make. Sometimes all of this just eats away at you until we’re left to feel like we have nothing more to give. I’ve heard the words myself so many times when taking a break “there’s so many lives that need you” and trust me, we all know. But sometimes we just need a chance to breathe, grieve, and recover.

There’s so much more to rescue than what everyone sees online. It’s HARD!

If anyone needs to hear this, here it is….
Please take time for yourself, take a break. There’s no shame in stepping back for a bit. You can NOT help others if you don’t help yourself. You can’t help others when you’re burnt out. And by taking care of yourself you’re taking care of the lives you save on a daily basis. You are not alone, even when it feels like it. Reach out if you need help. Reach out to us if you need it! We’re all in this together. You are loved and cherished. BUT the most important thing is… BE KIND TO YOURSELF!

For the supporters that follow rescuers, check in with them. Yes we all say we’re fine. Because that’s what’s expected but still those check in’s mean so much to us! It may not seem like much but it helps.

We need to work together because we ARE an army.

We are proud to post that over the weekend Valkyries Nala “Bagheera” and her handler Renée Thistle have completed two legs of their rally title. With the Newfoundland kennel club. (All breed)

I could not be prouder of this pair! Renee got her first dogo Bronson from us and was later joined by another named Bagheera! Renee has worked hard with both dogs and excelling into training with Bagheera even further.

This last weekend they competed in their first Rally Obedience Trial in which they did amazing for their first time in the ring.

She had many people coming up to her asking what breed of dog she was, as its not common to see a dogo.

Valkyries Pandora has gone to her forever 🏡. The older they get the harder it is for them to leave. She has a new retriever brother named Stanley, who wasn’t immediately impressed with her arrival but is quickly warming up. Her new name is Kova.

Valkyries Pandora is a looking for a place of her own. She is a beast of a female. Has a good prey drive, playful, mindful of other dogs and has a sassy streak ontop of that. She does have a brindle tail spot (read back in the history and creation of the dogo and genetics and it is not common there anymore, but is common on the head instead) she is a reg purebred as are both her parents.
