Quite small for my age, I’m a girl kitten, Jora! I absolutely love to purr. I have a deeply vibrating but low and quiet purr that would lull an insomniac to sleep. I’m a curious yet cautious explorer. I enjoy wand toys, But I hold back on them just a little bit (wouldn’t want to upset them too much.) I have a beautiful, white stripe running all down my underside. I still have my little rotund kitten belly as well. The volunteer thought my little belly was so cute. I’m brave to jump down from cat trees, but my landings are a little rough - the casualties of kitten hood! Sudden movement startle me a little bit, but coming home to your lap is my best remedy. My kitten belly and my purr are calming for you too! My card says I’m 10 weeks old but I think I’m younger than that. I’m still quite small for my age.

My ID number is 73761; I was brought in as a stray and I’ve been available for adoption since August 2, 2024. I am quite used to people. I’m not yet spayed, but that will be covered in my adoption. Tiny Tika, age 12 girl chihuahua, and little Spooky, age 10, were surrendered together to St John’s County Pet center at 130 N Stratton Rd in St Augustine. phone 904-209-6190 due to unhappy family circumstances, no fault of theirs. Solstice and Boo are two very similar 8-week-old all black kittens. Solstice is a female and Boo is a male, and while they clearly enjoy snuggling and playing together, it isn't a requirement that they go home together. Though shy when our photographer came to photograph them, they eagerly accepted treats, and perked up considerably when some soft toys were put in their cage. The adoption fee for each kitten includes a wellness exam, current vaccine, their spay or neuter procedure and a microchip. Solstice's ID number is 74401; Boo's is 7401. ASHES and MAPLE are having a tough time adjusting to the sights and sounds at the shelter, but when approached with quiet murmurs and gentle, loving strokes between their ears, they begin to come out of their shell. Ashes is an 8-week-old all gray male, while Maple is a brown and white 8-week-old female tabby. They take comfort in each other's company, but do not need to be adopted together. The adoption fee for each kitten includes a wellness exam, current vaccination, spay or neuter procedure and a microchip. UPDATE - Wow - the ink was hardly dry on their adoption post, and Hans and Franz have been adopted! Happy tails, guys!

HANS and FRANZ are twin 9-week-old male tabbies that love snuggling together. With their white and tabby markings, they're utterly charming - playful, though sleepy while our photographer was visiting with them. While not a requirement, they seem to content to be in each other's company, we know they'd love to go home together. Each cat's adoption fee includes a wellness exam, current vaccination, their neuter procedures and a microchip. PIRATE - what a perfect name for this handsome fellow, who sadly underwent amputation (due to a bad break) of one of his hind legs. Pirate is recovering nicely and greets visitors with purring and eager head butts, clear evidence he's adjusting after his surgery. Brought in as a stray, we trust that once Pirate has a chance to recover, he'll manage well despite his surgery. We know a special someone is waiting in the wings to take this boy in and give him all the love he so deserves. Pirate became available for adoption on August 2 and his ID number is 73852. HABEN is going to need some time, patience and gentle persuasion from his adopters: this 8-year-old neutered male brown tabby came in as a stray and needs time to adjust to new surroundings. He's somewhat withdrawn, but when our volunteer gently petted his head and spoke in a soft voice, he tolerated her touch, and quietly enjoyed the treats she offered. His lack of hissing or swatting leads us to believe he'll do well as long as he's given time to adjust to his new life of leisure in a loving home. Could you be the someone Haben's meant to be with? TRIXIE will, once she settles in a bit, undoubtedly live up to the energy her name implies. This diminutive gray tabby is completely unfazed by the fact she has only a tiny bob tail, and the kissability of her pink nose more than offsets her "shortcomings"! WILLOW is a slender, sweet, shy gray tabby who sports a stub of a tail that can't help but bring a smile to your face! This approximately 9-week-old female barely had time to adjust to her new digs in the cat room before it was time for her photo shoot. Despite that, she was friendly and didn't hide when the camera captured her image, and we've no doubt she'll make an excellent companion. RAVEN definitely wanted the spotlight of attention shining on her, even though she was sharing a cage with Acorn and Clove when our photographer arrived at the Pet Center. ACORN and CLOVE were velcroed together in their cage and only our microchip wand could tell you which was which! These 12-week-old male and female brown tabby siblings obviously were glad to keep each other company as they adjusted to being moved into our cat adoption room. DAHLIA is Dalton's sister, and while as stunning as her brother, she is much more shy, hanging at the back of the cage while Dalton hogged all the attention. We know this sweet girl with bloom with soft words and gentle pets, not to mention a few well-placed treats. 8-week-old Dahlia is a Siamese mix and has beautiful markings on her almost white fur.
