09 July: UPDATE!!!!

The US National Whitewater Center has agreed to allow humane traps to recover Luna!!!! No need for further emails and phone calls! We have been heard!!! THANK YOU!! This truly took a village. Please continue to pray and/or send positive vibes for Luna’s swift and safe reunion with her family! They are soooo overjoyed tonight with this latest news 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Thank you to everyone who has supported the efforts to reunite Luna with her family! They are incredibly grateful. As many of you know, Luna has been seen by multiple searchers, but she is still too afraid to approach them (please do not walk towards her or chase her). We have requested permission for EPIC Recovery to set humane traps for her. However, the U.S. National Whitewater Center will not allow it. These traps would not harm wildlife. In fact, the trap communicates with a cellular phone, and if a wild animal was captured instead, it could remotely be released. It seems like common sense that we’d be allowed to save Luna as soon as possible since it poses no risk to other life.
