**** New Update **** If the dog shows any signs of recovery, a rescue agency will take the dog. **** Old Update **** EPD spoke with the clinic and there is nothing to be done as the dog will not be able to recover from these medical issues Thank you for your kindness and request to help financially, but the clinic will keep her comfortable until her time.

Does this dog look familiar? Do you know the owner? This poor pet is in very bad shape and unlikely to survive. She was found in the dumpster at the Lakeland Animal Clinic by staff arriving this morning. There are no cameras to capture who put the dog in the dumpster. If you have information that can identify the owner, call 216-731-1234 to provide it.

The New Lake Lure Rainbow Bridge has been decorated for the holidays! Special thanks to the Shelby Rotary Club for placing a beautiful wreath on the Rainbow Bridge at the Green Space!

😭💔 Bentley Blue sits at the fence everyday in the play yard staring at the parking lot. We can only think it’s because he’s waiting for his new family. 😢 Since FEBRUARY - he patiently sits - watching many family’s come in & leave - not with him - but all of his friends. 😮‍💨 While he is happy his buddies get adopted he doesn’t understand WHY he’s not good enough. ❤️‍🩹

“Bentley Blue has stolen the hearts of our shelter staff and volunteers alike! He is a handsome 66lb house hippo who has an affectionate and loyal personality. He enjoys cuddles, kisses, and sploots in the grass next to his besties. He is a happy ball of energy, ready to join your exercise routine! He hasn’t met a toy he doesn’t love, and watching him joyfully throw them around will bring a huge smile to your face! He knows some basic obedience, but he would love an active family who will take his training to the next level. He’s a smart boy with so much potential to learn!

Bentley Blue can be fearful of new people or situations, and he’s working on his doggy social skills. To ensure that he’s a good fit for your pack, we require the entire household to meet him prior to taking him home, including any resident dogs. Interested in meeting him? Great!
