For the Love of Animals

Animals have been my great love since my earliest memories. I always had pets and begged my parents to let me meet every animal I saw throughout my childhood. Animals always call to my heart and pull me to them.

I had children very young and spent many years just working and caring for them without really considering what work I would do if I could do what I loved. My life didn’t really allow me to imagine a dream job. As my kids got older, I started to consider what work would be fulfilling to me, and realized that I would like to be in business for myself, and that ideally, the business would be working with animals.

I completed my certification from the Connecticut School of Dog Grooming in 2011, while I was still working full time in the field of higher education. I also became certified in Canine First Aid and CPR. I attended professional grooming trade shows and continued my education, while I began to work as a groomer on weekends and evenings, to start getting real-world experience. In 2012 when I moved to Cape Cod, I began grooming full time. In 2018, after 7 years of grooming experience, learning as I worked from the shop owners and groomers I worked with, I decided that I was ready to start my own grooming business--and The Pet Spaw Mobile Grooming was born!
