Proper Appaloosas First Proper Farm is home of Proper Appaloosas. Former home of 3x World Champion & 2x Bronze Medallion winner Mr Cool Hand Luke. He was 23 years old.

This page originally started as a way to promote our breeding and show horses and has now transitioned to sharing life on our farm, my Equine Art, our horses or updates on horses we have owned/ bred and of course funny meme’s. We specialize in breeding, sales of show quality family friendly performance prospects and sometimes funny meme’s. Luke passed over the rainbow bridge in the early spring of 2019.

First Proper Farm is home of Proper Appaloosas. We began our breeding program focused on Appaloosa Halter Horses and later transitioned to breeding Appaloosa Hunt Seat Horses. We’ve phased out of breeding and now just have a small handful of horses here on the farm and are enjoying the slower pace and workload. This page is now more about daily glimpses into life here on the farm, sharing interesting articles, updates about horses we have bred/previously owned and of course funny meme’s.

We were happy to be the retirement home of 3x World Champion & 2x Bronze Medallion winner Mr Cool Hand Luke. Luke spent the last few years breeding a few mares and spending time with his small herd of goats. Luke passed over the rainbow bridge in the early spring of 2019. He was 23 years old.
