Friends of Shell Park Oakville Ontario Dogs and humans who visit Shell Park to play and socialize! As well anyone who stirs drama for it’s own sake will be removed.

I decided to start this page as a bunch of us regular Shell Parkers can post pictures stories and information about Dog Park adventures and etiquette! On this page no profanity or bullying is allowed but if you have an issue with any dog or person's behavior at Shell Park it is recommended you try to talk with the owner first and if that does not resolve it and you cannot get support from othe

r dog owners there, leave or if very threatening call the police. People have a right to their opinion but no right to bash anyone else for theirs. Please remember the rule is 2 dogs per person and Oakville Animal Control does make visits. P**p and scoop is everyone’s responsibility so please be nice if come across p**p clean it up or if you see a dog p**ping and the owner is not paying attention please alert them to clean it up. Nobody should be offended or angry for being told . If you insist on bringing chuck-its and balls please play away from the main group of dogs and if another dog takes your ball don’t get upset as this is not allowed as per park rules anyway. As well do not let your dog run off leash outside the gates in the parking lot-you could be fined. Members of this page may post their business/websites related to pets but please note I do not endorse or recommend businesses/websites unless I have had first hand experience with them. We hope people have good dog with dog experiences at Shell Park!!

It's Official! Join us on Sunday, August 13th between 10am and 1 pm at the "Canine Fun Fiesta" in Breckon Park, Burlington! The event is FREE.

🎉 Here's what's in store for your pups:
🐾 Agility Challenges - Watch your dogs showcase their skills in a playful obstacle course!
🐾 Nose Work Games - Stimulate their senses with exciting scent-based games!
🐾 Puzzles Galore - Keep their minds sharp and tails wagging with clever canine puzzles!
🐾 Relaxation Zone - A tranquil space for them to unwind and recharge during the event.

All dogs are welcome, even our reactive friends! We'll take extra precautions to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for every dog and their human companion.

Please keep your dog on a leash at all times and refrain from approaching other dogs without asking for permission. See you there for a barking good time! 🐾🎉

The response from MVMA

Thank you for your email below and for reaching out to the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association. I can confirm that:

All practices that provide services to the public are required to obtain a permit through the MVMA. We call these inspected practices as they are inspected by MVMA inspectors on a regular basis.
The requirement to obtain a permit extends to first nations in Manitoba. If a licenced veterinarian provides service to the public in Manitoba they must first obtain a permit.
Failure to obtain a permit prior to providing service to the public would be professional misconduct and would be subject to the MVMA complaints process.
Again, Dr. Rekhi is not currently associated with a private practice in Manitoba.


If you have information to that Dr. Rekhi is providing veterinary service to the public, please provide same and we can discuss next steps.
