Green Giant Calumma Parsonii found in/near the Masoala Park July 3, 2021. Here's an example of "caudal autonomy" (a lizard's ability to "drop" its tail) in Uroplatus Sikorae sp. Initially this animal dropped its tail to the ground; it was then picked up and held in hand while it did its job and would otherwise allow the animal to escape capture.
