Which meant I had to LIE to her momma😬
I felt awful but the result was so, so precious!!!
Annie is right where she was always meant to be. And the surprise turned out perfectly 🥰. Even though I almost blew it multiple times.
In this picture Rowdy (MalliexBoondock) came to es**rt his new bestie home. Hal and I smiled endlessly while my husband snapped away. I can imagine the ride home was fun in the pup hammock set up in back seat that was fully prepared with toys for the trip. Rowdy also has a little sis from HBL at home!

Our Thanksgiving picture almost didn’t happen.
Yesterday was tough.
Our recent normal has been difficult but yesterday hit hard.
How can we celebrate, laugh, smile? How can we move on without our Clive? I constantly remind myself that we are moving forward, not moving on. Even still…there are moments that we all have to dig deep. Very deep.
Yesterday the sadness was heavy.
We are keenly aware of how much we have to be grateful for. While in the midst of grieving however, gratefulness takes on a different shade.
We are holding one another closely.
Clive’s presence is with us.

This boy of ours has covered so many miles by ground and by air bringing our puppies home. I knew this to be true but when searching my Google photos for pictures to add to his Birthday Album it really hit me…all these families know our son.
There are so many blessings that we sometimes just overlook. This is one that I have overlooked. Everett understands the work we do and why. I know it’s impossible to see the future, but I see that Everett recognizes the value of hard work, loyalty and compassion. This will impact his life is ways that are yet to be seen.

I know I have likely missed many more Gotcha Day pictures but these 10 slides are so very meaningful. I have added pictures that include our son Clive as well. Clive is in heaven, but he is the one that taught his little brother to stand tall, shake firm and look in the eye.

. #flashbackfriday This was such a fun trip! Wyatt and Nelly were the best little travelers. They snuggled up on a shared seat the entire drive to Charleston. Nelly was just along for the ride until her forever family that was meant to be spotted her vids and immediately hopped in their car and drove overnight to meet up with our daughters and a friend in South Carolina. . If you ever get a change to take a road trip with a puppy, do so! They never complain about your choice of music or snacks and smile or sleep the entire way😄
