YAY, it's Furever Friday AKA the best day of the week! Raise your paws if you're ready for a pawsitive pupdate to kick off the weekend! This week's post is submitted by Shannon, featuring her pup Oakley!🐾

"I adopted Oakley (formerly known as Lena) from HAL at the end of April 2023. I was constantly trying to adopt a golden retriever because all I wanted for my 21st birthday was a puppy. When I got the call that I could adopt a 3 month old golden I was sold. Oakley got to meet her older sister, Montana. Let’s just say they didn’t get along and lived on different levels of the house. Montana wanted nothing to do with the new puppy who invaded her house. As of today though you would never have known they hated each other because they are inseparable.

Oakley loves to play with toys and is so energetic. But her favorite toy is anything her sister has, she loves to steal them. Even after a momentary tug-of-war, Montana will let her little sister have it. Oakley loves to greet anyone that walks by her house or in the house. She will instantly become your friend and she firmly believes that everyone will love her. Let’s be real, who couldn’t love that face! Oakley loves to cuddle and give hugs. Yes you heard right, hugs. She will jump up and put her paws around your neck. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog, she’s my little love bug!! Thank you HAL for giving me the opportunity to adopt this gem of a puppy who is now my family!"

👸📣Hark, peasants - just kidding, you lovely humans! It’s me, Cleopatra, but you can call me Cleo or 'her majesty' for short. 😉 Don’t worry, the only kingdom I'm interested in reigning over is yours. 🏰🏡 At 6 years old and a perfectly curvy 62 pounds, I’m a Lab/Pit Bull mix with a heart as big as my wiggles. 🙂↔️🐕

Speaking of wiggles, let’s talk about walks, shall we? The moment you pick up my leash, I transform into the happiest wiggle-butt you’ve ever seen. I squeal, I dance, I basically put on a whole Broadway show because, honey, I *love* a good walk. 🦮🐕

But as much as I adore strutting my stuff outside, my true calling is snuggling. Couch 🛋️, bed 🛏️, you name it - if it’s soft and close to you, I’m there making the cutest little snuggle sounds that’ll melt your heart. 🩵🥹 Even when it doesn't look like there's room for me on that loveseat or in that bed or on that lap, I’ll wiggle my way in somehow, and if I’m really feeling the love, you’ll get to see my signature happy-leg-kick. "On July 31, 2022 Raya joined our family and we couldn't have ever dreamed of having a more perfect girl. Raya loves ice cubes, plush toys and remote controlled cars. Her favorite activities are playing fetch and balloon volleyball. She especially loves kids and tries very hard to fight the urge to lick everyone she meets. She is kind and sweet and is always looking out for others (both human and 4-legged friends alike). She enjoys sunbathing by day and long evening walks in the neighborhood by night. She's the most loyal companion anyone could ever have and we thank Home at Last for choosing us to be her furever family!!"

We have a pup-date this week! 🩺

Stevie, the maltipoo puppy, came to us from the mills in February of this year. He came to us with no use of his front legs. 💔 We previously featured him on a but we have a BIG update!

Stevie will be getting his own set of wheels 🛞 in the next few weeks. He will be fitted by .pets and then will be trained up on how to use his cart.

This is a huge milestone for our Stevie as it will greatly impact his mobility.

🌟🌟 Editors note: Before we let this handsome lug introduce himself to you, we just want to say - we do NOT understand how this happy silly guy is still available! He truly is the Goodest Boy ™️. 🌟🌟

Hey you! 👋 Names Howard, the lovable, huggable, & occasionally stumble-able 4.5-year-old Pit Bull mix who's on a mission to steal your heart (and maybe that pizza crust on the table over there). I weigh in at a sleek 70 pounds, although I'm pretty sure most of that is just my overflowing personality...

Now, my hobbies include (but are not limited to) perfecting the art of the couch squeeze. You know that tiny space next to you that barely fits a throw pillow? To quote Sheldon, "That's my spot." Yes, I do believe I am lapdog-sized, and no, I won’t be convinced otherwise because size is just a number, and numbers are confusing. 🤯

Also, please note that I require at least one good zoomies session per day - it's non-negotiable. 🙅‍♂️ It's my way of keeping fit, staying happy, and occasionally rearranging your garden furniture (you're welcome, btw). All in a day's work, really. And when it comes to toys, think of me as a curator of fine squeakables. I love them all - big, small, stuffy, or just delightfully chewable (I promise I'm only hoarding them for... research purposes). Each toy has its place in my heart and, coincidentally, also under your furniture. 🎾🦴

Oh! Maybe you can help me with something real quick before I go? My foster mom does this thing where she spells words and, well, I'm a dog so I can't read. What does R-I-D-E spell? Ride? RIDE? DID SOMEBODY SAY CAR RIDE??! ARE WE GOING ON A - oh, I get it now. You're smarter than I gave you credit for, foster mom. But seriously, are we going on this ride?? *honks the horn impatiently* 🚗🐶

Hello, potential belly-rub providers! 👋 I'm Sparrow, a 7-month-old Shepherd mix here to bring joy, laughter, and a touch of chaos into your life. At a lightweight & aerodynamic 40 pounds, I'm the perfect size for both snuggles AND high-speed races around the yard. 🏎️💨

When I'm not busy setting speed records, I'm usually found playing fetch with myself. I know what you're thinking - a dog who self entertains?? Yup! I love tossing my toys up in the air and then chasing after them like I've just spotted a squirrel. I'm basically a one-dog show and you're invited to watch! 🎪🐶

I’m also a certified love bug, ready to smother you with slobbery kisses & endless snuggles. But be warned, I demand top-quality belly rubs. And yes, I will rate your technique. So... you should probably practice your scratchies skills. I volunteer as tribute for all your training sessions.

Now, full disclosure: I'm a bit of a nervous nellie when it comes to meeting new people or exploring new places.
