We had a fun weekend at The Maryland Horse Trials at Loch Moy! Even though Riley had to take a good look at the bank down 🙈 he was really super in all phases! Congrats to Brooke Elizabeth, Jessica Morrow, and Shannon Morrow on their great jobs this weekend, and now we keep working to make it even better! Thank you to everyone at Loch Moy for a fantastic horse trial with beautiful courses, and all the hard work that goes into running the show!

We had a great couple days at the Great American USDF Region 2 Championships with Angela Hambrick’s Zallas taking the win in the Fourth Level Open Championship!
It’s always special to be at Regionals but to win 2 years in a row at consecutive levels is not something I ever thought possible. Zallas is a remarkable horse, and I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to ride him. Constantine came in 10th in the same class, and I couldn’t be more proud to have this horse in the top 10 in a large class of 20 horses. Agassi came 16th, and while he often out scored Zallas throughout the season this year, yesterday just wasn’t his turn. But when it is, watch out! He will be unstoppable!
In the Intermediate I Open Championship Diego came in 7th with a solid performance that unfortunately had a couple mistakes. I’m looking forward to bringing him to the Grand Prix in the next 6 months!
Huge congratulations to Angela on a successful season and for all she does for me and the horses to get here!
Thank you to my coach Mike Poulin for his dedication and guidance in the development of me and all the horses.
I’m so grateful that my parents were able to come and be with us and see us win! They have been my biggest supporters and always encouraged me to be my best and to keep at it. It was extra special sharing this with them and can’t thank them enough for all their help, including packing the trailer to go home!
We have an awesome team of people behind us with David Martin Berru caring for the horses at the show (and at home), our wonderful team at home with Tim, Clayton, Arturo, Luis making sure everything is perfect for the horses to train day in and day out, and our farrier, vets, and sports therapists that keep the horses comfy and strong.
Sometimes in life you need a little push because as we all know this is a tough business and it’s easy to feel like a gerbil on a wheel. I’m so blessed to have Clayton to give me that push (sometimes shove 😜) to keep my head in the right place, stay focused, and be my solid ground to remind me what a special gift it is that we get to do this.
Thanks to all the sponsors that support us and help in so many ways, in and out of the saddle. We appreciate you all!

We are hiring! River Edge Farm is seeking an Operations manager for the winter season! Position includes all aspects of horse management of our 15 horse dressage and eventing barn (minimal mucking) to begin December 2024 in Aiken SC through April 2025. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills required to lead our awesome team. This is a non riding position but ability to bring your own horse and participate in lessons and clinics is possible. Excellent pay, housing stipend, and superior modern facility. We had a great weekend with the horses all earning respectable scores even though Tino and I weren’t quite on the same page today. Zallas put in two great tests, Agassi was consistent and trusted me more than this time last year. I can’t wait to turn up the volume on this horse and see what he can really do. Diego achieved his last qualifying score for Regionals in the I1, and Tino was a competitor despite some green growing pains as we work to develop more clarity lift and cadence in his collected paces that caused some communication issues today. Looking forward to getting back home but not before hitting Sporting Days with the newest eventing recruit!
T-minus 7 days and counting…. Cleveland we are coming in for a landing!
