When I look back at all the battles and the struggles, I wouldn't change a thing, I never regretted ever, about helping or taking any cat in at Fat Cat Rescue, as hard as it was sometimes, I sure learned a lot and got a back Alley education..β€οΈ this story is a blast from the past.. and I was a new rescue..scared to death.. over these two kittens.. and think of them often.. π My mom and dad always told me, God doesn't call on the qualified, but he qualifies those he calls on, Thank You God for believing in Me..! even when I didn't believe in Me..!

Hello my name is Kaye Larsen, I had only been a Fat Cat Rescuer for a few years time.. when a young lady from a pet store called me crying.. I couldn't figure out what was wrong..once she calmed down, she went on to tell me two kittens at the pet store had ringworm, one almost no hair with a rat tail the other looked like a cancer patient. plugs of hair soon to have no hair and a rat tail also..I have never dealt with ringworm ever.. she begged me to help her.. the owner of the store had shoved the two kittens in the back room.. not wanting to deal with these two ringworm kittens as it was getting worse and worse. the sales clerk asked and asked.. the owner if they could go to the vets. He told her leave those two kittens alone feed and water and don't worry about them.. well this young girl couldnt...! begging me to take them at Fat Cat Rescue.. I was scared I had 60 other cats, mostly feral that could possibly get it.. I wasn't set up for two kittens with ringworm.. I thought about it and told her to bring them we'll just have to get set up somehow.. Oh Shoot Me.. when I looked in the carrier i was not ready to see what i was about to see, I was horrified. I was in total shock.. I knew right then and there, I was totally out of my league.. all the Vollunteers chipped in carefully bleaching everything.. we all knew this was for the big boys, the experience Rescue.. but there where no other Rescues to help..! Snap out of it Kaye and the rest of the poor volunteers. It's time to help save theses kittens.. I asked my cousin to foam board up the whole screened in porch and we put in big space heaters.. one of my rescue friends worked for Abbotts brought me what looked like Hazmat Suits.. a change for everyday for three months rubber gloves and booties and got electricity out on this bump out room/porch on a trailer we had.. I knew I was over my head, way over. But the whole group of volunteers kept bleaching and helping.! but I remembered what my mom and dad used to tell me about God.. he doesn't call on the qualified, but he qualifies the one's he calls on..! Well you all that was us..! God qualified us, we were the least of the qualified rescues. to fight this battle.. Fat Cat has battled some of the toughest battles and God Qualifing Us All The Way Along..! I want to Thank God for his Loving Hand in Fat Cat Rescue..β€οΈ
Three months we fought for Brandy and Bubba..! We where terrified we couldn't battle this fight without God.. they got lathered in creams everyday and got baths with ringworm soap in that old Trucking Co. Garage Sink 3 times a week.. not one other cat got ringworm nor did I or any other volunteers. And the young lady who wouldn't leave those kittens alone got fired from the store because of those kittens .. for shining the light on cruelty.. we couldnt believe those two babys made it.. β€οΈand a friend of my brother Moose's daughter adopted Bubba and Brandy.. The reason these kittens where brought up again is because Bubba and Brandy's adopted mom is who found Bean eating her squirrel seed in her yard. Bean was just adopted finding his forever home.. so you see you all we can do this..! but only if we all chip in..! We have to let God Qualifie Us, So Adopt, Volunteer, Foster, Donor's.. Rescue is Not a Spectators Sport..!

I'm one of the head scoopers.. and there are people at Fat Cat Rescue that are smarter and brighter then me and I Thank God for that.. they are the volunteers who take us further..π
