3 years of RemieDog compostable p**p bags. And hopefully, we're just getting started.

We started RemieDog in NYC because we thought one of the most basic parts of owning a dog could be done better.

For the past three years, we've been making certified compostable p**p bags and designing products that make it easier for New Yorkers to actually have a bag when they need one.

Now, NYC is considering the SCOOP Act — including legislation that would put dog waste bag dispensers on public litter baskets across the city and another proposal that specifically calls for compostable dog waste bags as part of a dog-run composting pilot.

That's a future we'd really like to be part of.

RemieDog is a small NYC company. We design our products here, walk our dogs here, and have spent years thinking about how better bag access could work in the real world.

So we're asking our NYC dog community for a little help.

We designed it. They put it to the test.

Dog Gear Review recently included the Sutton Slide Leash in their comparison of the Best Hands-Free Dog Leashes.

What we especially liked about their review is that they actually used the leash and called out the details that make the Sutton Slide different — including our RemieLock mechanism, which lets you adjust the leash one-handed without rethreading it.

After testing it with a 30 lb dog, they also noted that they never had an issue with the lock sliding under leash pressure.

Independent feedback like this means a lot to a small product company.

Apparently we weren’t done yet.

On the heels of yesterday’s announcement, we’re excited to share that the Sutton Slide Leash has also been named the 2026 Adjustable Leash Product of the Year by the Pet Innovation Awards.

Three different design and industry recognitions for a product we spent years developing, prototyping, testing, and refining.

We set out to make a leash that worked differently because we thought dog owners deserved something better. It’s pretty incredible to see that idea continue to get recognized.

Thank you to everyone who has supported RemieDog along the way — and especially everyone out there walking their dog with a Sutton Slide.

That makes three.

Two awards. One leash we're pretty proud of.

The Sutton Slide Leash has been recognized with a Silver at the 2026 NY Product Design Awards and named a Notable in the 2026 Core77 Design Awards.

We designed the Sutton Slide from the ground up to make one leash work the way you actually want to walk — handheld, crossbody, around the waist, or anywhere in between.

Seeing that work recognized by two design awards means a lot to our small NYC team.

We're a proud NYC brand, but the beautiful thing about our country is the diversity of its landscapes, cultures and people. Just a few hours drive and we're deep into the country.

Sometimes the best days are the simplest ones.

A backyard. Fresh air. A game with your best friend. Watching little moments become big memories.

As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, we're reminded that the simple life is often the richest one.
