Ayrshire Croft Ayrshire Farm was sold in February and is now In Good Heart Farm.But the Ayrshire name and traditions continue in Beaufort, NC. Please see below.

Ayrshire Farm was sold in February 2016 and is now called In Good Heart Farm (see that site). The Parker-Shields are definitely carrying on Bill Dow's traditions plus lots more! But the Ayrshire name lives on in Beaufort, NC as Ayrshire Croft (Scottish word for small farm or farming plot) where in 2017 I planted a garden of organically-grown vegetables, with Chris Conklin of Fishtowne (the bes

t seafood store in town!) whose land behind the store we planted on. Until the pandemic, we had produce at the Olde Beaufort Farmers Market. But now in 2022, that land is to become a building extension of the fish market (now Salty Catch - and still the freshest in town!). And the summer heat was catching up with me. So, I have happily downsized Ayrshire Croft to another location with limited offerings (see FB page). And we sometimes have enough to sell at the Coastal Community Market on Broad Street in Beaufort. Got to keep my hands in the dirt!

The entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and Virginia remains closed due to significant damage, particularly from milepost 280 to milepost 469 in North Carolina. A projected reopening date of any section of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina has not yet been established.

But the Ayrshire name lives on in Beaufort, NC as Ayrshire Croft (Scottish word for small farm or farming plot). where I am planning a garden of organically-grown vegetables, with the encouragement of Bill Rice of Fishtowne (the best seafood store in town!) whose land behind the store we are planting. And in a few weeks we hope to have some produce at the Olde Beaufort Farmers Market. Come visit!
