Brute Ropes

Walking into the Thomas and Mack on the morning of December 6th, I ran into a couple of Brute Rope fans! Their father Cody has been buying my ropes since his boys were competing in the high school rodeo finals. In case you don’t recognize them they are two of the best cowboys in the PRCA - Ryder and Stetson Wright. They are two of the four Wright brothers from Beaver, Utah. All four of these boys are humble, polite, and overall good, well-raised young men. I’m grateful they use my products, and wish them the best of luck in 2024. You know when you're driving down the road and you think of something really cool to add to the bucket list? Check it out. At 60 years old I decided to start drag racing. At 64 I thought I'd give this a shot. This was at Kenny Young's bucking bull arena in Page, Arizona. That's his picture standing by Lake Powell. The young man with the death grip on the back of my coat is his 6'7'' tall grandson Jacob. I just wanted to feel the power. This bull was one of the best at the Indian Rodeo Finals in Vegas. The Bull's name is Rebel Yell.

This is me with Tom Neuens, the Chute Boss at the NFR for the last 10yrs. I was dropping off my ropes he uses for the rodeo each year. Tom and I have gotten to be friends over the past 10yrs. I really want Tom to know how grateful I am for his help, in many ways of promoting my ropes. This guy is one of the biggest in the business and absolutely one of the nicest. Thanks Tom, see you Monday night.

To clarify the last post - the rope shown is a double braid with a core that i got for rodeo ropes. I can make 1/2” lunge lines with this rope - which is a little heavier and firmer than the hollow braid. the new order wouldn’t arrive until about February and then i could make all the other rope types.

I’m looking at getting another new color for hollow braid ropes and am trying to gauge the interest in this color. I got this in for bull flanks and rodeo ropes, and am thinking maybe i should get it in hollow braid for Big horse lunge lines, draw reins, reins, or lead ropes, and mini/pony cross ties, leads, driving lines and lunge lines could all be made from it. Trying to get an idea of whether a large order would be worth getting! Who would be interested in ropes this color?

We've reached the point where you have color options on my cross ties and short trailer ties! I am stocked up on rope in all 4 colors. Now you can get them in black with red, tan with burgundy, brown with turquoise or the original white with red. One thing you'll immediately see when you get these ropes is how classy this new rope looks when made into cross ties. If you're seen using brute rope cross ties at the horse show or in the barn, people can't help but think "You're doing all right!"

Attention Brute Rope fans! Some of you may want to sit down for this. . . Brute Ropes now has COLORS! As some of you know, the manufacturer changed my rope in May of 2021 - and not for the better. After a year of looking, two trips to the east coast, and working with several rope manufacturers, I believe I've replaced it. This may even turn out to be better than what I first had. I have one more surprise color coming in August, so you'll now have choices other than white and red.
