Shelter Free Rescue NY is a 501c tax-exempt non-profit home based foster rescue, registered with NYS Charities Bureau and Agricultural and Markets, so we can work with Shelter dogs.

We are a New Hope Partner with NYCACC, partnered with Genesee County Animal Control in Michigan, and an approved pull rescue with the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter.

Bear's lunch date with Jennifer Salvietti
Bear loves his chicken nuggets and car rides!!!!

We Shelter Free Rescue NY will pull Bear from the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter, and are approved, but need a foster.

Bear will go directly to Board and Train to help him with his transition out of Shelter life.

We need a committed, experienced foster to attend a few sessions.

Meet Thunder and Lola
Adorable, sweet, lovable, very well-behaved, bonded pair.

A definite dynamic duo!!! Fun-loving furbabies.

They were both found by my dog trainer's neighbor wandering around Gerritson Beach, Brooklyn.

Both are very friendly and bonded

Thunder-left Male 3 yrs old, severe allergies, and has open wounds from excessive scratching. Very protective over Lola but allows petting

Lola - Female 1 yrs old, very shy and very attached to Thunder

They were brought to the vet, rabies shot, HW neg tested, and put on prev flea and tick. Both not altered yet.Both will need full vaccinations

They are in temporary care .love the amazing neighbor who found them, but need a foster or forever home, and they must stay together

An adopter in Miami was found! Little baby is safe, and although we were taking him under our wing, a good home has been found.
We are always here if things don't work out, but looks extremely successful!!! At Vet today with new owners!!

We have been trying to pull Bear for 3 months! We had a foster and no fault to Bear it didn't move forward.

We need a committed foster who is willing to work with Bear for some training he will need for his transition from Shelter to out of the shelter life after nearly 5 years!!

Urgent help needed!

These 2 very friendly furbabies were found roaming in Brooklyn. Taken in by a friend's neighbor, she immediately brought to the vet. The veterinarian thinks the white one is pregnant.

She has them temporarily in her basement but we need placement.
Please share and reach out to me directly if you can help. They definitely are a bonded pair.

Rehoming urgently needed for this beautiful bonded pair Blue and Lion.

Blue 6 yrs old, female, 25 lbs, spayed, fully vaccinated and UTD.

Lion 7 yrs old, male, 15-17 lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated and UTD.

Both currently live with 2 adults and 2 children.

Both are house broken and walk great on theirleashed.
They are a bonded pair who are losing their home on August 30th.

These 2 will not survive in a shelter after living in a home.

Please help me find a home or another rescue who can take them.
We don't have a foster for them or we would take them under or wing

He has been professionally trained by K9 Central MD, During his board and train program, he has learned basic obedience, engagement with his handler, neutrality, and impulse control.

The trainers focus as much on owner training as they do dog training - so it's time to find Pete his forever human(s) now! That way, his lucky new owner can adopt (or foster to adopt) at handoff and learn how to communicate effectively with him anytime and anyplace

He is good with other dogs. He is medium and energy.
