Happy Friday! So one of our good friends Joe is here for the weekend visiting us. Back when Joe and Tony were young junior enlisted servicemembers and I was Tony’s girlfriend (not yet married), we all lived together and were roommates in our younger years. Joe was on an assignment that had him gone out at sea every 6 mos for 6 mos at a time. So during those 6 mos he was on land, he moved in with us and was our roommate. Joe met Hana when we first got her as an 8 week old puppy, and they immediately developed a bond. Joe always bonded with my animals. I recall I used to tell Tony to go knock on Joe’s door and give me my cat back because my cat used to hang out with Joe in his room all the time while he played video games like that was her bestie and I wanted to cuddle her sometimes lol!
Now 7 years later, Tony & Joe FINALLY get stationed in the same state and Joe drove down to visit us this weekend. I wanted to see Hana’s reaction seeing Joe again after 7 years because she loves Joe with all her heart. Keep in mind that Hana is not stranger-friendly, she barks at people she does not know or if someone approaches me on a walk. So when she saw Joe, she immediately barked, but when she realized who he was, she jumped onto him as if she was hugging him, so incredibly sweet to see them reunited!! Now Hana girl will be a happy girl all weekend!
