It's never too early to start working on Impulse Control. Look how nicely Cal sits at the door. He even waits for the release cue before going out of the door. Such a gentleman. #trainingyourservicedog, #foundationtrainingforpuppies, #servicedogtraining @Atlas Assistance Dogs
Maybe I shouldn't have taught Mo to open his treat cabinet 😂 #teamssetinmotion, #servicedogtraining, #servicedogtasks
Teaching my dog, who is an obvious lefty, the he can move counterclockwise as well with a little help from a chair and treat placement. :) Thanks Hannah Branigan!
I love teaching impulse control. When you have a dog that will calmly sit, down or look at you before going outside, eating dinner, getting into a car, running after a ball, you have a dog that is making good choices on their own. #trainyourservicedog, #servicedogtraining, #positivereinforcement
Teaching Mo to work around distraction :) The goal is for the distraction to be the cue to look at the handler. And at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center there are A LOT of distractions.
Can you tell who is who? Mo is Daisy's half-sister <3 Daisy is now working with a veteran as a psychiatric service dog. Mo is 8 months old!
