Bobcat with some sass!! 🐱

This is my first solo cat - I’ve worked on cats at other shops but never had full control. I’m happy with how this one turned out, I learned a lot about what I can do for future cats, and I can’t wait to work on the next meow!

The customer sent me some examples and wanted a mean cat, and he is mean alright!! 😾

The classic straight, upright, ears forward deer mount 🦌

Nearly all vintage mounts are positioned this way, due to the difference of methods and availability of supplies. Nowadays, this is one of the least common deer poses. I don’t do many of them but something about it is super nostalgic! 🦌 It makes me think of a red plaid jacket, open sights, and a deer above the fireplace (not a recommended place anymore to put mounts 😅)

Deer and gamehead shoulder mounts start at $950.

🔸 I require 50% percent of the mount price at drop off as a deposit, remaining balance is due when you pick up!

🔸 Turnaround time is within 1 year! Just a quote, not a guarantee - due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control (supply shortages, etc)

🔸 I’m taking in a limited number of deer and gameheads this year, first come first serve!

🔸 Wall pedestals, tine repair, replacement cape, velvet preservation are extra $

The account in this picture is reposting all my videos, which is normally fine, but they’re also pretending to be me. I DONT POST MY VIDEOS TO FACEBOOK - only Instagram, tiktok, and YouTube. The account I’m posting on right now is my only taxidermy Facebook account, and it’s just pictures here (for now). I have a personal fb, but that is personal and I don’t post my videos there either!

It’s just annoying.. and I’d hate for a person to follow that account thinking it’s me, and get false information about how to contact me.

Pretty short-haired whitetail 🦌

This guy was barely out of velvet, and he was still toting little pieces of his velvet, which makes for a super cool display of an already unique buck 😍

This is the deer I competed with in the live mounting competition at OKTA and won!

A super cool Sitka blacktail, cryptorchid velvet from Alaska 😍

Sitka blacktail seem to have a high ratio of cryptorchid bucks. I call them stags or cryptos. A crypto buck has had some kind of injury to his testicles, which interfered with his hormones and the antler cycle, resulting in the buck never loosing his antlers and always maintaining the velvet.

This deer was just fun to mount! I took it to nationals and competed in the live mounting competition there, and took 10th place! This live competition, I was going up against birds, some awesome whitetail with habitat, and even an iguana! And even more cool mounts. So I’m super happy with 10th for this regular wall pedestal mount… I got a ribbon and earned some $$!

I took him home and finished and painted him, and I’m super happy with how he turned out 💚🤎🧡
