If you have ever wondered what happens to the quiet cats, the gentle ones who do everything right but still wait… Derecho is one of them. He is the kind of boy who does not meow loudly or push himself to the front. He stays where he is, hoping someone will see his softness for what it is.

Derecho came to us when he was just a tiny baby, rescued from a school auditorium with his siblings. Even back then, he had this gentleness about him, as if the world was something to observe quietly rather than push against. No drama, no fear. Just a small kitten with a soft purr and a heart that opened itself to anyone who looked his way. And somehow, he never lost that. He grew, but his sweetness stayed untouched. Calm, tender, steady. He is not the kind of cat who tries to impress you. He is simply here to love you in the most honest way he knows.

He is now 9 months old, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and FIV and FeLV negative. He is incredibly social and loves both people and other cats. Derecho can be adopted into a home with an existing friendly cat or kitten, where his gentle nature and love for companionship will shine even brighter.

If you are looking for a sweet cat, Derecho is waiting. And if now is not the right time to adopt, maybe you could share his story. Sometimes all it takes is one person to pause, and everything changes for a cat like him.

Sometimes destiny comes knocking on your front door. And sometimes, that destiny is three kittens and the door belongs to . We all know she can't say no to adorable kittens!

Please say hi to the latest ARKL members: the Sprout Boys 🌱 They are currently being fostered by who is showing them with all the love they demand (it's a lot!)

They've been dewormed and deflead and will be vaccinated in the coming week. For now, they've settled in beautifully to indoor life and are fans of food, fun and endless cuddle puddles.

Sriracha was not born into comfort. He and his brothers were rescued by a kind stranger from a drain during a storm. They were soaked, scared, and unsure of what to expect from humans. But it didn’t take long for Sriracha to decide that people might just be his favourite thing.

Within a few days and a few treats, he was won over completely. These days, he’s confident, cuddly, and loves human attention. If you’re nearby, he’ll remind you that hands are meant for petting. He’ll nudge your arm when you pause, flop dramatically when he wants affection, and drink out of your water glass just to see if you’ll notice. He’s playful, social, and full of love.

We think Sriracha would love to be adopted together with his brother Tapatio. But he would also thrive in a home with another friendly resident cat who is looking for a buddy.

Sriracha is 1 year old. He’s neutered, vaccinated, deflead, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He is fully ready for adoption and ready to turn someone’s house into a home.

Maybe you’re not the one to adopt him. But maybe you could help him be seen. Because every like, share, or comment could bring him one step closer to the person who is.

Maybe…and we are only whispering this…maybe no one has noticed the Sprout kittens hiding in the last slides of this post. They insisted on sneaking in like it is some kind of undercover mission. 🤫

Say hello to our current lineup of adoptable kittens. Each one rescued. Each one sweet in their own silly way. Each one ready to bring a huge amount of love into someone’s home.

Oops - Four months old and already a professional heart melter. Soft, gentle and always watching you with those big eyes that say adopt me please.

Ubi - Five months old and the ultimate baby. He loves being carried like a little prince and will happily flop into your arms at any time. Affectionate and friendly with absolutely everyone. Humans, cats, vibes…he loves them all.

Jack - Five months old and basically a moustache on four legs. Playful, bouncy and full of cheeky energy, but also a big cuddle bug who loves curling up close.

And then…if you swipe all the way to the end…you might meet three tiny Sprouts who are pretending they are not trying to be noticed. Bean Sprout, Brussel Sprout and Button Sprout. Three months old, full of love and very proud of their names.

All kittens are vaccinated, deflead, dewormed and healthy. They can be adopted in pairs or into homes with another friendly cat.

If one of them (or one of the secret Sprouts) catches your heart, send us a message. They are ready for their forever home.

We are completely out of options. Snotty is ready to be discharged from the vet, but he has no place to go. We urgently need a foster home for him - even just for a few weeks - so he does not end up stuck at the clinic any longer than necessary.

Snotty was rescued by one of our long-time fosterers when he appeared at her workplace, sick and drooling. Since then, he has been healing steadily, eating well, and slowly regaining his strength. He’s now neutered, and despite everything he’s been through, he has remained sweet and gentle with everyone he meets. Even barking dogs at the vet do not faze him, and he enjoys being carried around like a baby.

Right now, Snotty still has some nasal congestion, so he needs a quiet space where he can continue recovering in peace. For the time being, we’re looking for a foster home without other cats. Not forever, just for now, so his body can fully rest and heal.

If you have some space and a bit of love to offer, please consider fostering this boy. Even a short-term placement would mean the world to him. And if you cannot foster, a like, comment, or share could be the small act that helps him reach the person who can.

He is ready. He just needs someone to open their door.
