Years ago I was invited to join the The Dog Aging Project, and enrolled Compton in the study.

A few days after he passed away, they sent the survey I fill out a few times a year, and through tears I filled it out to let them know he was no longer with us. It was hard, but I know what they're doing is for the betterment of the canine world.

I received a condolence card in the mail from them the other day which was a lovely gesture, and also sparked my interest in doing this again with Bruno. I just finished enrolling him, filling out all the survey's, and am excited to be part of this project again.

That was quick! Ordered from Wisdom Panel yesterday and they arrived today. I’m so excited to do these and get the results, but how does one swab a crazy puppy’s cheek for 15 seconds x’s 2?!?! 🤔

I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that Marty is the only one left that knew & loved the original W Pack.

Sable was his dog, would sit on the couch & pet her as she leaned up against him. He loved his Kylie so much he stayed by her side as she passed away, and he would follow Compton around the house & try to go outside with him.

He’s a good boy, sweet & gentle with all his siblings, but he’s the last to have loved my original babies as much as I did.

It was a warm & humid trip to Max Playground, but we enjoyed our time out there as usual.

No, I didn’t take pics as I was enjoying watching the dogs have the time of their lives, and now they are all passed out after a good dinner.

Someone missed me, the others are finally settled in. The dogs got 3 hours of dog park time & are passed out. Marty & ChaCha are watching the front door for my dinner delivery.

Don’t let these cute faces fool you, only the cats have had perfect reports all week. Clearly we are back to square one with the pups. Even Rufus has had some marks against him. 🤦🏻‍♀️

As I told the pet sitters, we can hope these puppies grow into the amazing dogs Sable, Kylie and Compton (?🙄😳?) were!

My name is Tera, and I'm an adoptable dog from Northern Lights Sled Dog Rescue. That said, I have a very special favor to ask. I came from a "puppy mill" which means I was nothing more than breeding stock. I didn't get to socialize with people, I didn't even know what toys were, and I didn't really get to learn doggy manners. But, I am learning, and I want to please MY OWN family!!!

Tera has been with NLSDR for over a year. She was sickly and scared when she arrived, but she's healthy now, and her personality has really blossomed (see her video below).
