Checking the Zebu Herd on this cool morning. I am very excited about what this calf crop holds in store. But you cannot keep them all. We will have some hard decisions when we wean. After years of growing our herd and retaining it is so difficult to shrink. For every calf we keep, a cow must go and so on.
Bottelberghe Farms Dale Yeah Z-8421. Dale is a 2017 model and has multiple Master Champions in his pedigree. This bull exudes extreme breed character and refinement. All while carrying a large base width and extremely correct feet and legs. He is always a gentleman and very easy to handle. When you look at this bull on the profile he is striking. From an exotic head, extremely upstanding profile, great hump size and position. He is also extremely balanced and proportional relative to size. We were very pleased with his offspring and he repeatedly delivered consistency in type kind and small stature in all of his calves. It is not often we offer mature bulls but as our program evolves we have to make hard decisions sometimes. We have 3 Line A Bull sons in our herd and many many females. As we evaluate future breeding plans, some of these just donât make sense for us to hold on to as much as we would like to. This bull has several Grand Champions towards his PGCH status. He will be Private Treaty. Feel free to contact us with any questions. We would also entertain lease options on this bull. He is very nice but also is priced to move.
Born early this morning and sturdy. These Gas Money calves are the most uniform we have ever had in our zebu.
If this new little lady doesnât tie it all together I donât know what does. She is a Gallo Pinto daughter out of a (MCH Wallstreet x MCH Gypsy Rose) daughter.
Starting to wrap up calving. Down to the last few girls left. This is another Gallo Pinto heifer.
This is one very serious mamma!
If you are thinking about a herd sire prospect keep us in mind this fall. These boys are very deep in quality and the other pastures are just as nice. We will only offer a maximum of 3 bulls Calves as Herd-sires from this years spring Calves.
Moving Gallo Pinto and his cows to fall pasture. Feels good when you have your cows all in a row.
This is our Heifer Pasture with a few older cows in the mix. Most of these ladies are second or third generation Bottelberghe Farms Breeding.
