Their brother went to our friend Rachel at Pony Painted Farm. The whole litter hasn’t hit their uglies and just keep getting cuter! Both have chocolate grandparent so maybe some chocolate and lilac in the future again!

Honey will leave her food to come say hi! I fed her, walked off to get my phone, so she started eating and then came right back when she saw me again.
I’m so happy to have this girl back. Her 4 babies are a week old today!! I hope they are as sweet as her! 🥰❤️
P.S. If you hear squeals in the background, that would be my 2 classroom guinea pigs that are VERY loud when they know it’s feeding time. 🤪

I think I just felt and saw 4. I’m so excited!! Honey is the SWEETEST doe! She’s like a dog. I have one daughter from her first litter that she had at my friend’s Rabbitry.

Honey girl is back! She went to another breeder, had a litter of babies and now Honey and one of her daughters have come back home! This girl placed well at nationals as a junior and we could never get babies from her. Rachel at Painted Pony Farm is a miracle worker!
Honey says don’t mind her crazy hair day. 🤣 She may be expecting another litter in a couple weeks. 🙏🏻

Power washing cages is my least favorite rabbit owner responsibility but it helps when I have someone to help entertain them. Blake is showing his own rabbits for the first time this evening! He went with me last time just to watch and loved it. He has loved the bunnies since he was tiny himself but shows were too much for his anxiety. A smaller show tonight will be a perfect start. 🥰
We will be at the Cass County Fair tomorrow if anyone is interested in a sweet pet or possible breeding doe. 🥰 She’s barely 2 pounds but not quite 4 months old, so she will grow some more, but will likely be smaller.

If you have rabbits outside, make sure you are ready for the even worse heat tomorrow in central Missouri! Ours are thankfully in the AC, but growing up, they were always outside. We used frozen 2-liter soda bottles. On days like tomorrow, switch them out mid-day. Watch for signs of heat stroke.

We have a nest builder! This super sweet orange doe comes from our friends at Bitsy Bunnies Rabbitry. The breeder bought a buck from our orange lines a few years ago. We now have this orange doe and a broken orange buck from our lines to help get our oranges going again. Happy New Year! 2022 Recap: Several wins at rabbit shows this year and hope to continue to show some in 2023. However, I think because we showed several times some of our best does sat too long, so breeding will be more of a focus for 2023. We had a long, but fun day of showing! Bennett only showed 3 Holland Lops and I only showed 3 as well. Bennett’s Blaze (black otter) beat out 16 other bucks and placed Best of Opposite Variety in Show A. I caught most of the video with the judge. He was nice and loud so I recorded it. 😆 There were 75 Hollands entered in youth today with most of those being solids if I recall correctly. His 2 does did pretty well too! His Angora had great comments and did well against his competitors from breeder we purchased his angora from. His AFL didn’t do great, but hopefully better next time! I had a couple 1st/ 2nd placings with mine but open had smaller classes. Great to see our rabbit friends! With such a crazy schedule right now, we will look forward to showing again later this fall/winter, but won’t be showing a ton. We need to work on getting more babies around here for the spring. 😬🤞🏻
