So proud of the All 4 Paws Rescue family! Happy 15th Anniversary!
All 4 Paws is turning 15!
In celebration, we are sharing some of our favorite stories of rescue leading up to our anniversary on May 9th. Deb Murray, founder of Pepper's Paws Dog Training, has been an avid supporter of All 4 Paws for 12 years! She's helped countless All 4 Paws adopters with their new dogs, and has been a huge asset to our team!
"As I sat down to write this, I became overwhelmed with memories. So many memories of rescued dogs finding their forever homes, the dedication of so many volunteers over the years, and the impact this organization has had over the past 15 years is truly inspiring. Thanks to Kristen (Founder/Director of All 4 Paws) and All 4 Paws Rescue, thousands of dogs, no matter their background or circumstances, have been given a chance – often the only change they would ever get - at having a loving home. All 4 Paws Rescue is a beacon of hope for dogs in need and a testament to the power of compassion and dedication.
My journey with All 4 Paws began in 2011 as a foster and event volunteer. I learned how Kristen and her team work tirelessly to ensure that every dog receives the medical care, training, and love they need to thrive in their forever homes. My family and I fostered more than a dozen dogs for All 4 Paws and I love the fact that I have been able to stay in touch with many of my foster dogs and their families over the years. Many families have adopted more than once from All 4 Paws too – a true testament to the confidence they have in Kristen and the organization. Having adopted 2 dogs from All 4 Paws myself, I experienced how great the organization is to interact with from the adoption side.
I began my dog training career in the 2012, and then started my business, Pepper’s Paws Dog Training. When I became a training partner a few years later, I had the pleasure of meeting hundreds more All 4 Paws dogs and adopters, families whose lives were transformed by their new furry friend. I have had the pleasure of teaching A4P puppies how to sit and come when called, and I have had the sad phone calls from past clients when their senior A4P dogs crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. The one thing about my experience with A4P that has always amazed me is that Kristen never forgets a dog. When I mention a dog from the past to her, you can almost hear the google in her brain of dog names turning – and then she remembers something specific about that dog, pretty much every time. If that doesn’t speak to the love and attention A4P has for their dogs, I don’t know what does.
I have had many conversations with Kristen over the years that involve with me saying “Kristen, I don’t know how you do it….” Maybe we are talking about being overrun with puppies, or challenging dogs, or vet bills that just don’t seem to stop. And her response is always the same “I have to. The dogs need us.” Yes, they do. Over 15 years, how many thousand(s) of dog and human lives have been forever changed? I know it is never easy, and some days it is downright hard, and I’m sure there are days when they want to give up, but they never do. As an A4P training partner, I work with Kristen to help as many dogs as possible, and that has been and continues to be, a privilege and an honor to work with and represent such a great rescue.
Congratulations All 4 Paws – 15 years, thousands of dogs saved, thousands of happy adopters, you should be proud – you’ve done one hell of a job!"
