We’re doing tricks for treats!
Here’s a reminder to keep safety in mind this holiday. At the door, keep a gate if your dog is going to be a costume judge, to prevent bolting out the door! If your dog is more shy and doesn’t like seeing all the scary kids, settle them in another room with a treat toy for dinner! And with all that, keep them out of the human treats!

We’re just wondering
We’re wondering…
How can Can-Do Canine! be of service to you and your dog today (or this month)?
Do you need an extra walk, or some entertainment when the rainy weather gets bad? Have you been struggling with a training question about a behavior you want to change? What about pet sitting?
Message or call us to help us help you!
Enrichment is one of the easiest ways to improve your pets’ lives, and it really doesn’t have to cost extra money! Eating out of boxes, bottles, linens, and old toys, as well as just interacting with their people in a new way is a way to spice up the fun daily!
Try something new with your pup this weekend, and tag us (@key2urzoo) to show the smile on their faces!

Poppy demonstrates exactly how the game Adventure-Focus-Catch works! Even though all I’m saying is “yes,” she offers a lot of really great behaviors with zero nagging involved. I don’t call her name, I don’t tell her to come, and I definitely don’t tell her to sit. And yet, she walks toward me so much that to continue the game as it is to be played, I have to keep moving away from her!
This is the power of permission and games-based training. When you allow your dog choice in safe environments and reward the great ones, they offer these good choices more and more! Want to try?

Check out this happy pibble snuffling away! Enrichment is vital for all dogs to keep their mind engaged and give them a way to enact natural behinds in an appropriate way. Sniffing and foraging for food is an easy-peasy game that any dog can do and enjoy!

Cash and his mom are doing AWESOME in their training progress. Mom is learning to read his signals and respect his learning styles, and Cash is getting really good at checking in with his People, and responding to cues. Our more recent “look, no hands!” session featured quick recalls and focused stays.
Working on a long line can bring some great confidence to you and your pup, as you’re not relying on physical tools to communicate, it’s all about your connection and relationship.
Want to build your relationship with your pup? Call Can-Do Canine! For more information on where to start.
