Only a small percentage (less than 10%) is harvested throughout the annual harvesting season. With this limited supply of high quality kelp it sometimes causes large product demand, but we feel that the sustainability and preservation of the kelp beds is much more important. K9 Kelp focuses on using two major seaweeds, Bullwhip kelp (Nereocystis luetkeana) and Bladderwrack (Fucus gardneri). Both are well recognized for their loaded nutritional and medicinal properties for dogs and humans alike!
