What could be more terrifying than a car or truck speeding towards you, but you are paralysed with fear and cannot move. Everywhere you look there are wheels of cars and trucks speeding past you with no way to escape the inevitable. All you can do is close your eyes and wait....

Scary right? Now imagine being a small 4 month old kitten on a busy 4 lane highway experiencing this terrifying, paralyzing fear.... 😥😪

Meet little Marlboro.... If it was not for Neil and Chiara, that came to his rescue on that day, this little guy would not have survived. It is a miracle that he made it out alive! How he got onto the highway is anyone's guess, but we suspect that he was dumped there on purpose as there are no homes or businesses in the area.

Marlboro spent a few days at the vet and have received a clean bill of health. He has been vaccinated, dewormed and sterilized.

This little miracle now needs a home of his own where he can be loved and doted on and just heal from this horrific experience and live an awesome life, never to be abandoned again.

Marlboro is playful, full of beans and affectionate (on his terms) but understandably he is a bit fearful at times. We do not know what this little man has gone through in his short little life, but we are determined to make sure that his life only gets better from here on out. He needs a gentle hand, a kind heart and someone who will have the patience to allow him to overcome that fear and not get upset with him.

Marlboro is currently visiting the vet receptionist but cannot stay there, so we need to find his human asap. Our foster homes are at capacity and beyond so we have nowhere for him to go. 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄,𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄,𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄,𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄!

There will be 𝙉𝙊 𝘼𝘿𝙊𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙁𝙀𝙀 as his costs have all been covered by his rescuers (bless them) but strict home check will apply.

We put out extra food before Christmas as we knew we would not be allowed onto site over Christmas period. We went past yesterday in the hope we could gain access and to our relief, we were allowed onto the premises. The cats were starving, especially the kittens. They were prancing around the feeding area while we dished the food and dived in once we put it down. It breaks our hearts to think that kittens go so hungry but we take comfort in knowing that for now, they have full tummies.

Season's Feeding is our drive for cat food to see our cats over the holiday period. The food gathered during 𝒮𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑜𝓃'𝓈 𝐹𝑒𝑒𝒹𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈 will go towards our new colonies who will rely solely on us during this time as the entire site closes down over December. The collection will run throughout December and into January.

Little Lexi has been diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia, or 'wobbly cat syndrome'. Her little wobbles are very mild, however she will still need to be an indoor kitty for her own safety and well-being. Lexi will also ideally need to go to a calm home without stairs or a pool.

Irma is desperate for a Christmas Miracle for Cat Village 🎄🐈🐈‍⬛🙏🏻🙏🏻🐈‍⬛🐈🎄 This season's rains have really hammered the Village. The 200 wendy houses we have for the kitties, are in desperate need of oiling and repairs, which is going to cost in the region of R20 000 😭 If you are able to assist with ANY amount towards this, nothing is too small, Irma and her precious kitties will be most grateful.

He is a friendly tame cat.
Not very cuddly but it might be his hormones that was still raging.
He wasn’t sterilized but is now,he has no Microchip .

🚨AGAIN we are asking or begging for help to feed our ferals🚨

We feed the following colonies
16 in Aeroton Johannesburg South
1 in Sundowner Randburg
1 in Muldersdrift
1 in Strijdompark Randburg
We help with food for colonies in other parts of the country
1 in Bloemfontein
1 in Klerksdorp
1 in Margate
Added to that we have foster kittens to feed and they need the GOOD stuff

Monthly we are looking at 300 kgs minimum of dry food
Many of our supporters say they’ll help, but do so once and never again 😭
Our ferals don’t get soft food anymore as it’s just become unaffordable for us
